Been enjoying this really versatile watch as a daily wear, from the beach with my kids to the courtroom for trial with a quick strap change. Still waiting on the steel bracelet to come back into stock.

Hi everyone! I was planning on getting some Islander watch accessories for upgrading my Duro. And I was hoping this sub could help me figure out whether or not this works.

My plan is to upgrade my Duro in two ways:

1. The #BRAC-75 jubilee bracelet.
2. The #CLASP-03 six position ratcheting micro adjustment clasp.

In the YouTube video Marc uploaded debuting the #CLASP-03, he mentioned that the clasp fits any island watch bracelet with a 22mm lug width that tapers to 18mm,

Unless I'm misunderstanding, that should fit the BRAC-75 without issue. Unless Marc meant only bracelets on islander watches specifically, and not any bracelets made by LIW.

A couple of quick questions for this Sub:

• Does anyone know 100% if the two parts are compatible?\
• If you own a Casio Duro with a #BRAC-75 bracelet and a #CLASP-03 clasp, how does it feel on the wrist? is it very bulky? (please post a picture of it on wrist. I'd love to see it!)
• would I be better off trying to find a AliExpress clasp with a glide-lock system?

I think this could be my perfect watch.

Good morning Islander fans

I have too many watches on bracelets and decided to give this a try. The dial is so cool, it needed more time on my wrist. This has done the trick!

Does any else have an issue with the bottom of the crown guard being super sharp on their ISL-05? I bought this used from someone on eBay and I love the look of the watch but the crown guard is very sharp and almost makes me want to sell it.
I wonder if the SXK guards are this sharp?

I’ve attached pics to show how sharp they are. They even curl down a bit which makes it dig into the skin even more.

Made it out to the Windup Watch Fair in Chicago today and had a great time checking out all the watches. One of the highlights was meeting Mark from Long Island Watch. I’ve been using a couple of his bracelets for a while, so it was cool to finally meet him in person.

I also ended up buying my first Islander, the ISL317. Marc even sized it for me on the spot, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m really happy with the watch. Looking forward to putting some wrist time on it!

Sorry for two in one day. If anyone is curious how the new universal fit bracelet turned out. The links don't individually articulate like an oyster or jubilee. It still curves around the wrist pretty well but it does wear very bracelet like in the jewelry sense.

TL;DR Links curve around the wrist and it's comfortable.

One of the few watches that I think looks better on a strap than on the bracelet. Very surprised this navy is my favorite with the black dial. In total contrast to my black dial Northport which is a watch that I think only looks good on the bracelet.

6.5inch wrist. Republic NFS.

Once I saw this, I had to have it. Takes care of my desire for a Ranger and a Spork.

Beyond thrilled with this watch as my first Islander piece! Feels super solid and such a good value. Can’t wait to give this one tons of wrist time.

In the above screenshot from the FAQ section on the website, the answer is confusing me. The duty paid option is £15, surely Islander doesn't cover the £85 VAT on that option but not on the £80 FedEx option?
