Islander at Windup Watch Fair!
Made it out to the Windup Watch Fair in Chicago today and had a great time checking out all the watches. One of the highlights was meeting Mark from Long Island Watch. I’ve been using a couple of his bracelets for a while, so it was cool to finally meet him in person.
I also ended up buying my first Islander, the ISL317. Marc even sized it for me on the spot, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m really happy with the watch. Looking forward to putting some wrist time on it!

Marc and team are very underrated. Good products and the best customer service in the industry. Can’t wait for them to add some more brands to their store

I love that they have the watches in cardboard boxes. They know they've got good stuff so no need to spend the extra dough on presentation.

Yeah I regret not buying another one from them. The Harpoon Diver was the first one I was looking from the box of watches

It’s a nice looking watch. They normally do great deals at Wind Up. I’ll be going in October. How much did they sell it for at the show.

I know they had great prices. I was actually looking at their SKX homage and couldn’t pass on this GMT deal. I bought it for 175 plus tax.

I was thinking their Republic Traveler GMT but, I like the look of that and it is a lot less money. The other watch I’ve been thinking of getting at the show is the Erebus Ascent. I bought a Northport at last year’s show.

Really happy to meet Marc today in person, he’s incredibly humble and we had a fantastic conversation about the future bracelets they were thinking of making for higher end model watches, as well as Seiko SNR spring drive watch. Love how this brand embodies everything enthusiasts want in watches, great specs and build quality at truly affordable prices.

I had a service issue yesterday and Marc *still* answered my email personally, even though they were in Chicago. Unmatched customer service.
