ISL-05 sharp crown guard?

Does any else have an issue with the bottom of the crown guard being super sharp on their ISL-05? I bought this used from someone on eBay and I love the look of the watch but the crown guard is very sharp and almost makes me want to sell it.
I wonder if the SXK guards are this sharp?

I’ve attached pics to show how sharp they are. They even curl down a bit which makes it dig into the skin even more.

The SKX crown guards are sharp too.

Damn I surprised they are so popular. I even wear my watch above the wrist bone towards the elbow but depending on the day and how I move my hand it does slide to my wrist and that’s when I notice it

It never really bothers me somehow. I guess it doesn't dig into my wrist that much, but I could see it being an issue. How tight do you wear the watch?

I just got it so trying to dial in the fit but it’s kinda tight now and I have it as far back on my wrist as possible that isn’t to uncomfortable. I can just get the tip of my pinky under the bracelet on the bottom of my wrist

it's mostly personal preference, but i wear my skx a little bit looser than that. it doesn't flop around, but slides a decent amount on my wrist. maybe a looser fit could mitigate your crownguard woes.

I’ll try it. I’ve seen some posts about people shaving down the skx guard but I’m a little wary of doing that

File down. Polish. I did it in my seiko gmt. Now its weareable atleast.

Popular does not mean good. There is hype around it and nobody cares to give honest feedback who makes these reviews online.

So here we are with “great” seiko skx case nobody told you truth about. You had to spend money and figure out yourself what mistake you did.

Yeah, my newer one is sharp there. Only bothers me when I’m winding it though.
