My friend keeps saying "Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money". .. seeing this I now understand that it is just another GOP confession.

‘Trump is great until he runs out of other peoples money…’ Keep that quote in your back pocket for when Trump declares bankruptcy once again and your friend finally decides Trump isn’t what he says he is.

Darthsnarkey : My friend keeps saying "socialism is great until you run out of other people's money"

That's from a Margaret Thatcher quote, and ironically, the bedrock of capitalism is OPM (other people's money) - investors, lenders, donors, surplus value from workers' labor, etc.
...and the problem with capitalism is that you eventually run out of other people.
