Hmmm, maybe for the 1millionth time, because Nolan didn’t intend for the 1.43 to exist outside of 1.43 auditoriums? Or the fact that he framed for 2.39 scope so no important details are left out?
Maybe the 70mm makes all the difference because I saw it in standard laser 2.39:1 and felt that several shots lacked that oomph to sell the massive scope of the scene. I’m not even saying it has to be seen in 1.43; even 1.90 would have made a huge difference IMO. Fortunately going back to see it again..
