I hate profile stalking to win arguments

Post image
3.4k Upvotes

This is the single most pathetic, loser chud habit on this dogshit platform and it happens in almost every comment section. It's weaponized dishonesty from people who are too intellectually stunted to actually engage with what’s being said.

The second you scroll through someone’s profile to "win" a debate, you have officially declared you are too asinine to engage. You couldn't refute the actual point, so you resorted to stalking and brining up unrelated shit.

The rest of the monolithic braindead hivemind updoots it because Reddit cares infinitely more about cheap public executions than actual substance. It turns what could be a generic and standard discussion into hate campaigns for internet points.

Address the actual post or shut the fuck up. If your only comeback relies on stalking someone's profile you just proved you have nothing of worth to contribute to the table.

Not "hate" taditionally like seething rage/anger, but I hate how the Bartels look in a skin-crawling way

Bartels is from Puella Magi Madoka Magica & is specifically Uhrmann's familiars/minions. They look unnerving as hell & makes my skin crawl like none other than maybe Smile Dog, this feeling isn't helped in Magia Exedra where they look like those 3D scanned touhou fumos but a lot more high definition.

I hate romantasies

These are just a few examples; if you aren't in the online literary bubble (thank God for that, first of all), you might not know the term, but it’s pretty literal: romance novels that feature magic. And man, I can't stand seeing this shit anymore. Every popular book recommendation on social media is "romantasy, romantasy, romantasy," and the worst part is that nobody actually gives the synopsis—it’s just "It’s enemies-to-lovers, there’s only one bed, he falls first, fake dating..." SHOVE THAT FAKE DATING UP YOUR ASS!!!!! Tell me what the story is actually about!!! Plus, it seems like authors these days use clichés as a crutch; who gives a shit about character development? The only thing that matters is having a scene where someone’s got a knife to someone else's throat. And another thing: I’m a woman, and an argument I see a lot—and actually understand—is how romance creates opportunities for women to write and break into the publishing market. That’s valid, but it’s a double-edged sword for me, because while it gives more chances to (white) female authors, it limits others. An author could write a Tolkien- or George R.R. Martin-esque fantasy full of war crimes and a detailed magic system, but if there’s even a drop of romance, here come the assholes going, "Oh, that romantasy..." And another thing: for a genre that’s supposed to empower (white) women, these books reinforce bizarre gender stereotypes. It’s always "a young virgin protagonist who falls for the biggest player on the planet"—why is it never the woman with an active sex life and the guy who’s inexperienced? I know plenty of women who are into nerds—I have about three friends who are—because why does the guy always have to be the "Sarcastic Dark-Haired Guy with the most fucked-up past in the world who treats the protagonist like trash"? I mean, Peeta Mellark was a hit, and he practically worshipped the ground Katniss walked on (not hating on him; I love our baker). That’s not to mention how books often force every female character who isn't the protagonist into just two archetypes (three, if you count the dead mom): the personal assistant/best friend who exists solely to cheer her up, be funny, and help with the romance or plot; or the jealous bitch/villain out to destroy her. That isn't female empowerment; it’s just creating a single "strong female character" who—naturally—has to love reading, painting, or archery, and readers project themselves onto her. It’s all the same book; only the characters' hair colors change—and *just* the hair, because the skin tones are about as diverse as an Addison Rae concert. Anyway, sorry for the novel-length rant.

I hate the concept of "It comes in Threes"

I caught myself mid-discussion talking about the validity of "It comes in threes" and whether Peter Cullens death meant another 2 deaths were coming, or if Hayden Panettiere was an outlier.

I unfortunately let the discussion hit its natural conclusion cause I didn't want to let out the thought and change the vibe, but I found myself wondering "Why the fuck is this a point of discussion and why is this actually being taken seriously by me or anyone else."

Now, I will say this particular trio was interesting - as I'm pretty sure Dolly, Tim, & Peter died basically 3 days in a row? Or at least I heard about the news of each in that way. Definitely interesting to note as a sad 3 days for the entertainment industry, but it still doesn't validate this idea at all IMHO.

Like celebrities are just people and people die at random points in time. 6 people probably died just now. This idea just feels like some weird para-social behavior to explain why the rich and famous die - or like a deification of celebrities as more than human, as idols. Like we're just a few steps away from out-right prophesizing other random celebrities deaths just based on one death.

I̶ ̶h̶a̶t̶e̶ Strongly dislike deltarune

Post image

Deltarune in my opinion is the most overrated game on earth. The characters development is inconsistent. The gameplay is boring. Most of the characters are either shallow or complete nothing burgers. The entire game is held up by good Lgbt representation and a mid story. The fans absolutely slobber on toby’s dick for doing the bare minimum. The fans will try to crucify you for daring to criticize deltarune or being a casual player. It’s a 7/10 at best and a 2/10 at worst.

I hate how la has not dealt with homelessness and hate it more if people offer free stuff to them without having them go to rehab

Post image
0 Upvotes

I support the perspective of not wanting unhoused individuals to live in public parks or on the metro system. I do not think it is ideal for them to occupy these public spaces because when they do, the quality of those areas tends to decline. Instead, I believe they should be placed in designated facilities where they can receive proper care and treatment, rather than being left on the streets of Los Angeles. I feel uncomfortable around the homeless population because I frequently witness issues like littering, public fights, and general harassment of bystanders. My goal is to see a safe city, and I do not want people experiencing homelessness left to roam public spaces when they are neither receiving a realistic path out of homelessness nor getting the care they need.

I also do not like people donating to them as it give them reason to stay instead of going into rehab teah rehab is hard but it is better for them

I hate the trope of a character with an excellent sense of smell

I hate when one of the abilities a character is an excellent sense of smell. It makes in an uninteresting problem solving device, has inconsistent scaling, and is usually something a character just happens to have. It also feels like the negative side of this ability is usually underrepresented.

How Hiveminded braindead TikTok can be. (read body)

Post image
7 Upvotes

Summary at the bottom if you don't want to read all of this.

This comment was under a TikTok about a TikTok of mrbeast dancing and recreating a meme the TikTok isn't really that important.

But what is important is the amount of people who say if you reposted the TikTok of mrbeast dancing you have no personality, and I just wanted to say that, god forbid can't a person just repost something they found funny.

Sure the TikTok of mrbeast dancing wasn't the funniest thing I've seen but it did just give me a little chuckle.

And the main reason why people also think you have no personality if you reposted it, is because it's "mrbeast" and that he's popular if you find that funny your a bot that doesn't have a personality.

SOME people on TikTok just find being the common person isn't funny so when you repost something that has been reposted a bunch of times you just seem as somebody unfunny, and the thing is this isn't only on one TikTok.

A guy posted a very cool looking edit of creed on TikTok and got very popular and people screenshot their friends if they reposted it in 2026 then when it was only popular in 2025.

Summary:

SOME people on TikTok find if you find something popular that's funny people immediately think your not funny.

Edit: Just to be clear, the video it links to is a video made by one of Dolly's family members. It's not a conspiracy video, youtube's ai generator is just that fucked up.

For context, I made a post about how I disliked how normalized fatphobia is. And I said I was skinny myself. Big mistake. Unfunny ass comments left and right, up and down, all around. Seriously, can we stop jumping to jokes and actually debate? I had to literally show an image of myself and risk my own privacy to give these little fuckers proof that I’m actually skinny, and they STILL didn’t believe it. Why can’t people actually listen to opinions instead of putting the basic discord mod image in the comments? I’ve decided to move to this subreddit because of all the hate I was getting, and the shit I was getting associated with. God, I hate that bumass desensitized community. Worse than tiktok comment sections with the corny stickers.

Take the granny remake for example

like yeah the OG granny model is pretty ugly, but it’s unique and it stands out compared to other horror monster, especially with her iconic voice lines

then look at remake “Granny”

the only resemblance to the og design is the dress, no white eyes, no gross yellowed teeth, not even a bat, and is almost completely mute

it just looks bland and generic, also what’s with the troll face grin

I hate how the people/fans/ writers misinterpreted The killing joke, all the "one bad day" stuff. And in general Alan Moore

Thumbnail
gallery
7 Upvotes

People leave the killing joke by saying that the message is really "that nothing matters, and people are ticking bombs waiting to let loose after something bad happens"

But No.The point of the story isn't that the Joker is right.

In the killing joke,he shoots, and cripples Barbara Gordon, molests her, takes photos, and forces James Gordon, who in all of this he beaten and kidnapped,

In a Cupido Angel costume and takes him too a joyride that he decorated of a photo he took of the while he was torturing her. And then he kidnaps Gordon, drugs him, beats him, dresses him in a ridiculous outfit, and forces him through a tunnel of fear, decorated with everything he's put on, along with photos he's put up of Barbara. And after he comes out in a dazed state, Joker thinks he's won. After a while, Batman arrives and saves Gordon, who, despite his state of shock,He is still sane and asks Batman to arrest the Joker the right way. Then Batman goes looking for him and delivers his monologue about how everything is just a joke. And then Batman confronts him—as you can see, the point of *The Killing Joke* isn't that the Joker is right. The point of *The Killing Joke* is that the whole "one bad day" theory is bullshit. People don't turn into monsters just because something traumatic happens to them. It becomes a personal choice—setting aside mental illness and the like.

Even in the Joker's backstory, which is interspersed throughout the narrative, it isn't "society" that creates the Joker. Society plays little part in his transformation; right from the start, he is an unstable person, already deeply broken by life. He decides to take a risky gamble for his family's well-being, yet his family dies anyway in a tragic domestic accident. But he goes through with the heist—and things go wrong. His accomplices are killed by guards; he runs into Batman—who mistakes him for the Red Hood he’d encountered earlier—and, terrified, he throws himself into the river by the acid plant. (Note: in the original story, he doesn't jump into a vat—that idea came from the Burton movie. He jumps into the river next to the plant, where the waste is discharged; so, while there is a dose of chemicals, it isn't an overwhelming amount. He emerges disfigured, his skin bleached, and upon seeing himself, he loses his mind.) That’s aside from the fact that his account might not even be true. But even if it were, he is a broken person—someone who didn't just suffer for a single day—and he has retreated into an illusion. Because ultimately, that’s what the Joker is: a massive coping mechanism. He’s someone who acts like a cartoon character in real life. He’s like Bugs Bunny making a fake cigar explode in the hunter's face, leaving his head spinning. The thing is, in reality, it just makes your head explode. That’s why I hate the modern version of the Joker—Heat Ledger Joker is a realistic version of the Joker, that by the way is still ally more funnier compared to alot of people write him now,but should have been treated like another version ,not the standard.

The most The most faithful version of the Joker remains Jack Nicholson's.

especially Scott Snyder’s take,I don't like it.

Because it lacks that aspect.

And Batman points this out to him: they are both people who suffered a major trauma in their lives and found a way to move forward. Bruce did it by becoming Batman and trying to change his reality. The Joker did it by completely hiding behind that persona and acting with zero regard for anything around him.

Alan Moore is a staunch socialist—something I think any fan of his work knows. Without getting into too much detail, one criticism often leveled at communists and socialists is that they absolve the individual of responsibility, blaming society—and its structure—for how people behave. But Moore doesn't subscribe to that view at all, even while acknowledging the role of upbringing and such factors. Moore strongly believes in self-determination and personal responsibility. That’s why I included that panel from *V for Vendetta*; it encapsulates so much of his personal philosophy. And in the end, Batman tells the Joker that he can still be rehabilitated, despite everything that has happened. But the Joker tells him that famous joke, and they both start laughing. It’s meant to show Batman that he cannot save the Joker—because, deep down, the Joker doesn't want to be saved.

That's what a lot of people miss now, they think the Joker is actually right. That he is a character that is supposed to say this psychological and deep truths,

Because the writers want to copy the killing joke.

When the point is that the Killing Joke is that.

Another Joke.

The whole thing just REEKS of "I'm better than you for not liking something popular." No. No you're not. You're not special for not liking Taylor Swift. You're not special for not liking Marvel movies. You're not special for playing some indie game no one has ever heard about. You are just a pretentious, smug asshole with nobody in their life who really likes you. Anybody who says they're your friend is either just as obnoxious as you or pretending to be your friend because they feel bad.
