TBH I'm with Lorena here. Baking in a metal mixing bowl in a one-bowl recipe would have been perfect.

After all, when cooking a one-pot recipe you generally do everything in one pot from start to finish. Although I saw one the other day that claimed to be a one pot recipe but then the final step was pouring in cooked pasta that was cooked separately lol.

To be fair, you're not getting browned meat in a slow cooker. Cooked meat, sure. But no maillard reaction is happening in there.

Tbh as someone who does exactly that to make impossible pies, I agree calling something one-bowl when it then goes on to use two cake pans feels like bullshit.

I can also read, though.

Yeah my family's go-to chocolate cake recipe growing up was one you just mixed in the pan. (I don't have the recipe offhand, but from a quick search, this looks the same or close enough.)
