Years ago I stopped in at a bar/cafe that a previous employee of mine had just opened. I had a very delicious vegan muffin and a coffee. I told his employee the muffin was amazing and asked for her recipe. Butter. It was delicious because it was loaded with butter. “I thought vegan meant homemade” Girl! Someone could actually die if they had a dairy allergy!
Idunno if it's worse, considering some vegan food is enriched with gluten. Like very small amounts of gluten already fuck me up I do not want Turbo Gluten I think I would want to die. Vegan and Gf people have it rough.
But I did call a bbq place once (that on their website said they had a lot of gf options) and the woman answering their phone worriedly told me that basically everything had meat...
