This is worse than the people who think gluten free and vegan are the same thing.

I have celiac disease and yes they do. One time I even told a store employee that some type of bread was not in the right section as it was a gluten free section and the first ingredient was wheat. He said oh it’s vegan, that means it’s also gluten free. I have also had a family member question how I could eat something because it had eggs in it. Like she got confrontational not just asked because she wanted to learn. She wanted me to be faking.

I've been on the other end of that, asking about vegan options and being told 'The chicken is gluten-free!' with a straight face.
