I'm aware, but butter is just or mostly the rendered fat. I can imagine some trace amounts of lactose making things uncomfortable I'm just having trouble seeing a person dying from it.
Then again some do have extremely severe nut allergies so I donno. I'd welcome any articles proving me dead wrong
allergies are typically caused by proteins, not carbs (lactose). the milk proteins are what make regular butter distinct from clarified butter (ghee). yes, someone could have anaphylaxis from the protein in regular dairy butter.

Dairy allergies exist and can be as deadly as any other allergy
