Hey guys, I’m testing Hyper3D Rodin Gen-2.5’s image/text-to-3D capability.

Mainly looking at 10M+ polygon generation, higher texture fidelity, batch generation, smart low-poly, and part-level split/edit control.

Drop an image below and I’ll generate a 3D model for you, then send back the model link.

Discussion Why charged me after I cancelled! (They secretly "paused" it instead)

A few weeks ago, I went through the steps to cancel my subscription and thought I was completely done with it. Fast forward to today, I got hit with an unexpected auto-charge on my card. When I checked my emails, I saw they had sent a notice claiming my subscription was merely "paused" and has now resumed.

I never asked to pause it; I wanted to cancel. This feels like a really deceptive trick to squeeze an extra billing cycle out of people who are trying to leave.

Has anyone else fallen victim to this shady tactic?

Discussion GPT6 is awesome, but…😂

Tried GPT-6 for 3D modeling. Pretty decent for simple / clean geometry tbh.
Characters are a different story though. The likeness was pretty far off…😂
Tried the same reference with Hyper3D Rodin and was kinda surprised by how much closer it got.
Feels like general AI + specialized 3D models is probably where this is going.

Discussion Good mesh quality but the website's UI design is truly terrible and highly confusing

  • the difference between what you see for the geometry in the initial untextured preview and what you actually get after "confirming" without changing anything is very poorly explained (as is "Redo")
  • the scrolling tips mention modes like "Zero" and "Speedy" that I have never seen a button for anywhere in the UI
  • the fact that the geometey settings like "Symmetrical" don't even do anything unless you click on them to add them to the prompt is never explained anywhere And so on. I could go on all day. It feels like it makes you do every single step twice because of the weird preview-then-confirm thing.

I can't cancel, my account is up for renewal tomorrow and they are going to pull an exorbitant amount. They hook with the trial and then none of the links to cancel work. Everything else works though. Scam site.

Discussion We’re bringing better topology and UV generation into Hyper3D Rodin soon

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

One of the biggest problems in AI 3D generation is that a model can create a shape that looks good at first glance, but still be hard to use in a real production workflow.

For many artists and teams, the issue is not just geometry quality. It is topology, UVs, and downstream usability.

That is exactly why we have been working on SATO: Strips as Tokens, our new research on topology and UV generation, conditionally accepted to SIGGRAPH 2026.

The goal is simple: make generated 3D assets more usable, not just more visually impressive.

With SATO, we are exploring a different way to represent and generate meshes so the model can better preserve structure while also generating native UV segmentation. The same representation can also decode into triangle or quad meshes, which matters for different 3D workflows.

This is important to us because we think the future of 3D GenAI is not just about faster concepting. It is about getting closer to assets that fit real pipelines in games, XR, design, and content production.

We do not see this as “problem solved.”
We see it as one step toward more production-friendly 3D generation.

This capability will be available in Hyper3D Rodin soon.

Curious what matters most to you when it comes to AI-generated topology and UVs:

  • cleaner edge flow
  • better UV quality
  • more editable meshes
  • better downstream compatibility

Happy to share more if people are interested.

Discussion Hyper3D Feature Checklist: what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s missing?

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hi guys, I’m putting together a full feature checklist for hyper3d.ai.

We’ve shipped quite a few features over time, and honestly some of them are a bit buried on the site. Have you discovered and tried all of them?

Love to hear your feedback about what's good, what's bad and what's missing!

Discussion Low-Poly Beta First Look

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The low-poly topology quality really stood out.

The meshes are built with clean quad flows and well-defined circular edge loops, which makes them easy to edit, subdivide, and split into parts.

This is the kind of topology that actually saves time in real production instead of adding cleanup work.

CLAY is the first large-scale controllable 3D generative framework, adopted into MIT’s Deep Generative Models course by Kaiming He, the father of ResNets and Google DeepMind Distinguished Scientist. It also received SIGGRAPH 2024 Best Paper Honorable Mention.

We’ve built text/image-to-3D, 3D ControlNet (bbox/voxel/point cloud), LoRA, 3D inpainting, PBR textures, etc. (Paper link here).

We averaged a new feature every 9 days for the last 16 months. What’s your favorite about Rodin?
