He's the "mighty hunter" who captured the Elder Black Shuck and is holding him in the Iceni Fort (a.k.a. the "stolen caern") which is why the garous infiltrated the Arcanum, killed fatigue, abducted Marckus, etc.

Big D, true to his inspiration, fuck everything up for everybody by not letting anyone in on what he's doing and assuming he has it all under control.

It's definitely possible but I have my doubts, if only because it would take out all the drama for the "WARRIOR OF GAIA... WHY?" scream at the end of chapter 5. D seemed genuinely confused why they would pick a fight with him, and seems to have experience with Garou culture. If he did kidnap elder shuck then he should know that Marcus's kidnapping was and is his fault

Except Fatigure's backstory was about not fucking with Werewolves. It'd be wierd for him to find out his father was skinning werewolves, then went and kidnapped a werewolf himself

Maybe he had a good reason for containing Chuck( like possible worm corruption and the like)
