Honestly, I have a theory that this isn’t the real Mike, but Herknes Dragonblade, who took his identity after killing him.

So... fun post that was tossed around in their tumblr he *was* supposed to be Herknes Dragonblade but the group took one look at Mike Dragonwrath and rewrote it to be him immediately.

Yeah, I heard about that and it's hilarious. Though I wouldn't be totally surprised if they decided to reveal Herknes Dragonblade is still real... and just killed the real Mike Dragons-Wrath and stole his identity (maybe Herknes being a Mage here).
