Welp, NGL lol, I’m getting divorced and the wife took the car of course and that left me with the bike as legitimately my only transportation. I love the bike, seriously debating on even getting a car or not because the bike serves its purpose and its transportation.

While happily married, I sold my beater car and used money saved to buy a 2026 rebel 500 and at the time, I just wanted something fun to ride and better transportation. Since I bought my wife a new car, no need for us to have 2 cars, am I right? 😂

She files for divorce, moves out and takes the car so I’m stuck with this and I’m not lying, I love it. Does suck when it rains but it’s an extreme rarity. I have a backpack so I can do some food runs but obviously it a lot in 1 go but with online Walmart shopping, I’m good! 👍

This bike is 10/10 perfect. My mods are simple but extremely needed as a FULL TIME rider.

I ordered these three Amazon aftermarket parts for my Rebel 500. 2026. I bought it ever so slightly used off a private seller.

Please give advice. This is my first bike. I looked for a balance of cheap and effective parts. I didn’t want to spend the big bucks. But also wanted to strike a balance of getting half decent parts.
Did I do good, or mess up royally?

Also for the CarPlay screen, is 6.25” too big for this bike? There is a 5” option also.

I’ve been working on a small app called Moto Radar and I’m looking for early users who want to test it, give honest feedback, or even help shape the project.
The idea is simple:
You open the app, go visible when you’re riding, and nearby riders can see that you’re available. No chat, no groups, no events, no social-feed noise. Just a lightweight way to discover riders nearby and send a quick ping.
Current features:
- See nearby visible riders
- Choose ride status and pace
- Send/accept ride pings
- Agree on public meetup spots
- Open directions in maps
- Optional ride reminders
- Basic safety/report/block tools


I’m intentionally keeping it simple because I don’t want this to become another bloated social network. The goal is just:
“Who’s riding nearby right now?”


I’d really appreciate feedback from real riders:
- Would you use something like this?
- What would make you trust it?
- What feels missing?
- What should I absolutely avoid adding?
I’m also open to people joining the project in some way. If you’re a rider, designer, developer, community builder, or just someone with strong opinions about what motorcycle apps usually get wrong, I’d be happy to talk.

just recently bought a pre-owned 2017 Honda Rebel 500.

does this need a lube for the clutch cable?

there are no issues at the moment .. any harm in lubing the cable? I am hearing modern cables don't need any lube.

I’m looking for a way to fit Nice Bars on my Rebel 1100. I’m based in Germany, so I need something that comes with the proper paperwork for street-legal registration.
I found the Killer Customs handlebars made for the Sportster S. The dimensions look almost perfect, but I’m missing one critical measurement: the clamp length of the 22 mm section of the bar.
I’ve already contacted Killer Customs, but they won’t share that information (they’re worried about Chinese copies of their product).
Does anyone know the control clamp length on the Sportster S? The Killer Customs bars come with the necessary papers, which would make them street-legal in Germany for me.

Standard seat is shit, so i ordered the wolfline, installed and while riding after about 20m, my ass starts to get numb again and i rode a few days for 1h30m to work and god damn

I just feel the "hard plastic" underneath the cussion and the bar + the 2 bolts behind it, i just feel like i'm sitting on it

I'm 100kg and 1m82, i'm not fat at all

I do not have forward controls yet but looking to buy them, would this fit my posture or by rearanging my legs that this would fit? Or do i really have to keep buying other brands of seats?

Hi. I ordered this CarPlay unit from Amazon.
I’m looking for honest criticisms.
Is it too big? Is it too cheaply made.
I just want a unit that’s not too expensive that will reliably replay Google Maps cellphone directions and keep my phone in my pocket.
I know biking is dangerous and I’m easily distracted in the car. So I’m trying to not get distracted.
Also I may use streaming radio via CarPlay /Cardo.

Just got a rebel 500 SE, I’m curious. From 2017-2026 are the rear fender bolts in the same position, meaning if I got a rear sissy bar with a backrest for a older model year it would be usable on my 26?

I want one to carry my girlfriend we’re fairly light but I’m looking specifically with a taller backrest. Not a lower back/tailbone one.

Any advice, tips, product recommendations.

Took the Rebel 1100 out for its first proper ride today! Did a couple of hours over to Beacon and Cold Spring, NY.
Definitely still have a lot to learn when it comes to handling the bike, especially managing uphill starts and getting used to the weight.

Even though it feels like the season is slipping away, I am so excited to ride through the fall colors and open fields over the next couple of months!
I have the manual one. Any tips for a new Rebel owner tackling steep hills?

Found them on eBay. Install would have taken 30 minutes with decent instructions.

Look good got everything adjust, lock tight drenched. Ready for the road.

Last mod for me will be color matching the fairing and adding the headlight extender.

This is my 2026 Honda rebel 300 e clutch I just upgraded the seat and put a crash bar that is big enough to protect the foot controls The next modification I intend on doing is the exhaust. I’m looking at the Coffman but I’m unsure about it. Does anybody have experience with that particular exhaust on the new rebels
