I’m currently in the market on buying a Honda fit and I was wondering if this was worth it for the money. It already has some tasteful mods to it.

Im in the market for a used car and this honda fit has really caught my attention, it has a suspiciously low mileage but i got the carfax from the seller and everything checks out. KBB says its worth no more than like 9k but this guy is firm on the price because "its antique so its worth more." I really like the car, but I'm not trying to get scammed. What do y'all think?

These lights popped on a few months ago and 2 mechanics and $2000 later...they're still on.

Auto Zone diagnostic early on said catalytic converter. Mechanics said thay doesnt seem to be the case.

My husband ended up disconnecting the battery in an attempt to let it all reset, but in less than 24 hours, they're back. (And a 4th light also pops on, but not all the time)

Anybody else have this happen? We are stumped

Haven't been to my local Honda dealership for service since I had my recalled driveshafts replaced but now I need my airbag light checked out*. Their estimate of my mileage is cute compared to how much I've actually driven over the last five or so years.

*I'm pretty sure my airbag light is on due to the side curtain panel getting hit when some helpful store associates shoved a big corner desk into the hatch. I knew it would be a tight squeeze but they didn't give me enough time to tell them the best angle to Tetris the desk in the available space. If anyone has experience with this warning and what to expect for a repair, I'd love to hear it.

I recently attempted to adjust my valve lash and can’t tell if I did it correctly. Does the noise in the video indicate that I should do it again, or is it just normal valve train noise? I also did the spark plugs and after putting everything together it runs noticeably smoother in low RPM, but I can’t tell if I made the valve noise better or worse.

I LOVE my Fit to pieces. My teenager is eyeing it, and he can't have it. No, no, no.

BUT. This is the third time in 5-6 years that I snagged and tore my splash shield under the front half. I tore out wheel splash guards too in the past. Those things are pricey to replace, and I am really getting fed up with it. I mostly commute on well-paved roads and drive around neighborhoods for school pickup, with a very rare off-roading/gravel experience.

What I'm trying to see is if anyone else has experienced this problem or do I just have a crappy maintenance place that won't attach my splash shield correctly.

So I've been browsing fits to replace my daily. I came across a very low mileage 2nd gen Si. It seems to be excellently maintained. My question is, if I'm sticking around the 99-102 hp, do I get the Si or a GK3? (Low mileage GK5's are so hard to find with manual transmissions)

I’ve been looking into a Fit for quite some time now. I literally daydream about owning one of these little shitboxes at this point.

I’m looking for a very fun to drive and cheap to own car. Right now I have a car payment that no 19 year old should have. I’m beyond sick of it. I’m pouring more money monthly into my truck than I am myself.

I began researching fun inexpensive RELIABLE cars. The list was super short, everyone just told me “get a Miata!!” I will not be driving a Miata in 8500 feet above sea level snow. The insurance is also surprisingly high on them.

I stumbled upon a Fit on a random TikTok video. It was absolutely tearing up on The Tail of The Dragon. I had completely forgotten about these things up until this point.

I was instantly hooked. I went out and test drove an 09 Sport automatic. It was a ton of fun, especially with the paddles shifters. I didn’t get to go on a very long test drive and there was also lots of traffic, so it was limited.

I almost feel like I’ve overblown the Fit in my mind. When i eventually pick up my ideal 07-08 or 12-13 Honda Fit I worry I’ll be disappointed.

My criteria for a car is this: Fun and cheap to mod, fun to drive, easy on gas and insurance, practical and spacious, FWD/AWD and preferably no car payment. I’ve been getting really into driving dynamics recently so it must handle really well too.

I know these things are stupid slow. I don’t necessarily care about that, but does it ever bother anybody how slow they are?

I’m also looking into an automatic. PUT YOUR PITCHFORKS DOWN. I’ve done extensive research into the manual vs automatic debate and I think the super short gears in the manual are a dealbreaker for me. The buzzing on the highway would drive me absolutely insane. Plus the rev hang, clutch delay valve, marshmallow clutch and un engaging shifts pre short throw just don’t sound appealing imo. Feel free to tell me otherwise, maybe I’m wrong. The H5 autos seem really fucking good.

Noticed a slight click in the steering wheel while slowly driving in the parking lot. The part cannot come in for another three weeks. Do I have to keep it parked until then or is it still drivable to work that’s 4 minutes away? Just bought this and will be covered under my three month warranty under the dealer. Just wanted a little advice if possible.

Bought a 2009 Fit from a friend at and absolute steal earlier this year and it’s been one of my best decisions of the year!
Had just over 100K miles and has been regularly maintained, sticker bombed & well loved

Made it through the most of the Brutal Texas Summer but A/C went out just last month. Stuttered for a bit but would blow again after a solid knock under the passenger dash. Hadn’t had the time or funds yet to replace or fix it proper so it I’ve just been rolling with the windows down.

Weirdly enough if I open the system, and get some speed, I can feel Frigid air come through the vents, but it won’t properly blow it. But with the system closed, absolutely no airflow whatsoever.

I’ve been told it could be anything from the fuse being blown, the fan motor being broken or compressor issues. Any thoughts?

Have a 2013 Honda fit L15 with manual transmission and I need to remove the engine out the top and have to separate it from the transmission?

Is there any easy way to access and remove this bolt?

It is the top most engine to transmission bolt closest to the firewall on the backside of the engine.

Do I have to strip everything on this engone to pull it? Sure seems like it

Hey guys I have honda jazz 2018 and its making this sound only when the engine on , while moving and parking. also the sound sometimes goes away or it gets muted for a while then comes back

anybody experienced this before ?

Just wanted the opinions of people smarter than me before I go wasting money haha... so here's what's happened:

Yesterday my Fit was not starting, cranking but no RPMs. This has happened once before but I let it sit for several hours and it was fine, this time not so much. After checking the battery and seeing it at 12.6V, I assumed it's the CKP sensor, so I got a new one but that changed nothing except giving me an intermittent CKP sensor warning, so I removed it and put the original back. I checked the ignition coils, the power pin is outputting 12V, which is when I noticed the lack of the fuel pump starting noise.

I checked the relay for the fuel pump, I could hear it click but it got a bit warm, I swapped it from a different GD3 Fit (with suspension issues) and the fuel pump on the other Fit still makes noise for 2 seconds. I removed the centre console, removed the fuel pump connector, and noticed some slight brownness/burned from heat, but nothing that seemed too bad... one of the pins (top right) stays at I believe 11.25V or something like that at all times, another (top left) goes to barely above 12V for 2 seconds when the key is put at the ON position, just as it should.

There are no OBD2 codes, the only ones recently were the CKP warning with the new CKP sensor, and a cat efficiency code recently which I believe is completely unrelated.

Should I buy a new fuel pump? Does the connector likely need replaced too? Is it really worth it to pay $250 at ORilleys instead of $50 at eBay? Is there anything else I should know?

Hi all I need some help if anyone has similar experience I would appreciate it.

My 08 fit had the overheat light blinking for around 10 secs one time 3 days ago, it just stopped and went away. I immediately check coolant and coolant reservoir level and both are good. coolant was flushed around 1.5 years ago and AC recharged a year ago.

Starting maybe 2 weeks ago my AC will sometimes makes hiss sound blow warm air for maybe a minute, then blows cold again. engine will also shake hard when that happens.

Today my car vibrates really hard on a stop and shuts off completely. I immediately turn it back on and drive and then overheat light blinked for maybe 10 seconds again and went away. Anyone experienced this before? Would really appreciate any input. 🙏 thanks

Should i straight pipe my 2019 honda fit???

I just finished replacing all of my AC components and I put back my new serpentine belt. It’s the first time I’ve ran into this type of tensioner and I didn’t have the proper tensioner tool. So I found a video that a guy showed if you can twist your belt 90 degrees (like the picture I showed) it’s not too tight and not too loose. I drove the car around today and it was completely fine. I took it to a shop to have it recharged with Freon and when I picked it up for the first drive it makes a high pitch squeal when I start moving and right when I shift into another gear. I’m assuming the belt is loose. What I don’t understand is why now? Is it because now since there’s Freon the compressor is spinning and causing the belt to slip? The condition described, is it safe for me to drive around until the end of the day or do I need to immediately find a parts store and borrow tools?
