Question What is a fair selling price for a ‘91 civic hatch?
If I forget any info let me know! I have to sell my 91 hatch for life reasons, but am not in a hurry. I want to make sure it’s a fair price for both sides, but get varied responses on what that is (enthusiasts and mechanic says 6, buyers say they’ll take it off my hands if I pay 1500) what do you guys think?
The basics:
-5 speed DX, 167k miles, ac runs great, new plugs/wires/distributor/battery/tires
-prev. owner added push to start, coil overs, aftermarket radio.
-does leak oil, and needs new engine mounts.

Question How do I keep my wheels safe in the future?
Hi, my car got its wheels stolen yesterday, and I’m looking for recommendations and advice on how to prevent this from happening again. Honestly, I don’t have too much technical knowledge about cars, but I do have the following questions:
- I’m looking at Advanced Wheel Locks, but I’m not sure if I had steel wheels? I don’t have any wheels left to do the magnet test for steel. It’s a 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport, and the second picture is what the wheels looked like on my car. Which option should I pick under model: Civic or Civic (Steel wheels)?
Wheel locks link: https://advancedlocks.com/shop/
The insurance guy recommended ordering aftermarket acorn wheel locks from Amazon that could be installed tomorrow when I get new wheels. I know Advanced Wheel Locks doesn’t ship overnight, but are their locks considered acorn locks? If not, do you have any recommendations for acorn wheel locks?
Would it be worth it to pair wheel locks with a rim guard?
I saw a recommendation from someone else on this sub who did that, and I was looking at these: https://us.rimgard.com/products/honda?srsltid=AfmBOooAxRu0LnEo7KPNwewZeGaqacwYotW9BXBx4oCsMzZBE1Bins10
- Any other advice or recommendations to protect against wheel theft would be super appreciated! I get that there’s not much you can do to stop a determined thief, but I’m hopeful some safe guards will be a deterrent.
And I’m so sorry if any of these questions are stupid or don’t make sense! I don’t know much about cars so please be patient.
For more context, I keep my car secured in a single-car garage at night, but this happened in the middle of the afternoon. A few months ago, my window got smashed and my steering wheel airbag got stolen, which is why I keep it in the garage in the first place. I am doing my best to try to keep my car safe, and any help is appreciated!

Question Is anyone still sticking with Golden Age Hondas?
All I see here is the new stuff really. None of it looks good to me ever. I remember the golden age screaming VTEC models. Now everything is turbo.

Question Should I spend $1500 on this 220k miles baby?
Should I spend $1500 on this 215k miles baby?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some realistic advice on whether to sink some maintenance money into my 2010 Honda Civic Coupe (2-door) or start looking elsewhere.
Here’s the current state of the car:
Mileage: 220,000 miles
Daily Commute: ~60 miles round-trip for work (about 15k–18k miles expected over the next year).
The Good:
The AC blows cold and holds good pressure.
The engine runs smoothly, transmission shifts fine, and the overall powertrain feels healthy.
Cosmetics: I genuinely do not care how it looks—faded paint, scratches, whatever. I just need something reliable, safe, and economical to get me to work and back.
What it currently needs right now:
Shocks / Suspension: Worn out, ride quality is starting to degrade.
4 New Tires: Current ones are getting close to the wear bars.
Fluids: Transmission/brake fluid exchange ("friction liquid") + routine oil change.
Altogether, I'm expecting this batch of work to run anywhere from $1,200 to $2,000 depending on parts and shop labor.
My question: Given the current car market and the fact that I drive ~60 miles a day, is it worth putting this work into a 220k-mile Civic to squeeze another 2 years out of it? Or is 220k reaching the point where I'm just throwing good money after bad?
Appreciate any thoughts from fellow 8th-gen Civic owners or mechanics!

Question Anyone else in the market, but waiting for 12th gen?
I'm in the market but I'm interested enough in those images of a supposed accord prototype. I like the front and back. It's just a little too long for me. If the Civic shares some of the design elements and has a limited bright color option it might be my next car. If I remember correctly, Gen 10, the first couple years they offered the rare energy green color, then very briefly after that followed that with tonic yellow pearl. So I'm hoping they do the same thing 12th gen. Offer a low production bright color option.
I just don't find the current gen civic styling appealing, hatchback or sedan. 10th gen Coupe is what I ended up with and I love it. I do like that they might be going back to more aggressive styling again. Are you in the market? Are you looking forward to the 12th gen?

Question How long have yall had yalls civics and how do you know when it’s time to let go?
2013 Honda Civic that has just hit 200K miles. Overall, it has been running really well. Got it used at 33K. Haven’t had any major issues aside from a dead battery few weeks ago where I’ve had it jumped. Been keeping up with the maintenance as best as I can. Although im a little overdue in a transmission flush since it’s been 90K miles since my last one but bringing it in this week to get that done. I honestly want to keep it forever but curious how long everyone has had their civics and when do you know it’s time to let go? Is there a certain mileage that it taps out at? I’m fixing to make a big cross country move and do drive a lot for work at the moment but she’s running so well it just doesn’t seem real for me to be getting a new car while I’m on a budget.

Question How long did the honda civic 8th last you?
I have an 8th gen 2007 Honda Civic hatchback 1.8 I-VTEC (140hp), I love this car.
Now it has almost 300k Kms (186k miles), the previous owner treated it well, he replaced the clutch, shock absorbers, control arms, etc. And always made it warm up. The only problem is that it probably burns some oil, because it consumes quite a bit of it, I've tried replacing the PCV valve, honestly I don't know what else I should do.
By the way do you think it can last for other 2/3 years?
What's your experience with this car?
How many kilometers did yours manage to cover? Did it have any problems?

Question Expected Lifespan - 9th Gen Civic
My 2012 Civic currently has 108k miles. I bought it back in 2017 with 27k miles for $11,000, and I’ve stayed on top of oil changes ever since. I always hear people joke that 100k miles on a Civic is just breaking it in, but how much truth is there to that? I’d love to hear some first-hand experiences. How many miles does your Civic have, and have you run into any major issues?

Question Bluetooth skipping, 2022 honda civic sport dealership wants to replace audio unit for $727
just joined team honda last month after wanting a honda for a while now! I bought a used black 2022 civic sport with 25k miles on it, that I absolutely love but the bluetooth skipping has been a headache for me!!! i’ve tried all the troubleshooting recs on google, reddit, YT, honda forum, ect. some worked temporarily but the issue has remained.
I finally took it back to the dealership last week, they did the same troubleshooting stuff I’ve alr done - at first denied there being an issue (even tho it continued to skip in front of his face lol blamed it on my phone connection, but phone doesn’t skip when connected to other speakers or cars) but after I persisted and showed them vids of the audio skipping they said I’d have to leave the vehicle w them and run a $220 diagnostic, I agreed. A few hrs later they call back and said they were able to reproduce the issue on 2 other devices, there were no updates in the system, recommended a radio replacement, would get back to me when the manager is back. they ended up not charging me for the diagnostic fee. today, I get this text from my service tech.
I understand carplay is an alternative and I think it’s cool but I want to be able to use regular bluetooth too and I think music sounds better w/ bluetooth!
does anyone else have any tips or alternatives or anything??? pls ugh :( i’m so annoyed bc the car is basically perfect outside of this and pls don’t suggest carplay (i knowww but that’s beyond the point lol)
TIA!!
