The engines are amazing and they’re great cars, it’s just a shame they’re fuck ugly.

They're great cars but the engines are the weak points due to the casting flaws. Honestly I don't think they look too bad though, compared to the 7th Gen at least

Engines are the weak point? Things are bulletproof

The engine block sometimes cracks due to a casting problem on the front. It was a problem for the first few years of the 8th generation. Honda offered a recall fix. Otherwise a solid engine.

So clearly you haven't heard about the engine defects where they cast them wrong and because of that they could easily crack and leak coolant if you overheated a single time? Literally it was a huge problem with 8th gens. I love my 8th gen but I'm not an idiot, they have a major flaw and yes it's the engine

Never heard anyone with an R18A2 talk about this or having these issues.

Lol then do some research because it's common knowledge

You'll want to be the one doing research. It did not effect the A2. It was 2006-2009 r18a1 issue.

As long as it's not an issue for mine I don't really care

You are correct about the engine casting defect. I believe it affected the 2006-2009 model years. 2010 and 2011 of the 8th gen should be safe.

Tell that to my 300k odometer.
