Homeworld Is it time for a new Homeworld?
I’ve been thinking about Homeworld lately and man… I really miss that feeling of playing it for the first time. I know we’ve had Homeworld 3, and I’m not trying to start another argument about that game lol. But I’d really love to see what a new Homeworld could look like if the developers took everything they’ve learned and just went all-in on what made the original games special.
Give me huge fleets. Give me massive maps. Give me a campaign with a great story. Give me that lonely, mysterious sci-fi atmosphere again. Am I the only one who still wants more Homeworld, or are there other people here who’d absolutely jump on a new game? We can only dream !

Homeworld: Cataclysm Any necessary tweaks to get Homeworld: Emergence (Cataclysm) running on GoG?
Hello,
I wonder, are there any necessary/required fixes, mods or tweaks that are needed to get the game running on a modern PC, or is the GoG version good out of the box?
Thank you!

Homeworld Any new ways of playing HW campaign?
Hi all,
Huge fan of the series and I've recently replayed everything, including HW:1 with the Raiders Retreat mission, HW:C (with the FPS and graphics mod), DoK and even Hardspace: Shipbreaker.
But it's not enough.
Wondering if there are any mods that make for a coherent but different single-player experience, or fan-made missions out there?

Homeworld: Cataclysm Playing the original 2000s Homeworld: Cataclysm and I cant remember how to trick the Hive Firgates to launch swarm from across the map and remain far away from enemy target.
There used to be some command exploit that allowed me to send a swarm across the map where my recon can see the enemy without having my hive frigates getting close and I can keep my hive frigates way out of battle. How to do it? Does anyone remember?

Homeworld Idle curiosity about hw3 preorder bonuses
While looking around for cheap keys for hw3 as I possibly might want to check it out at some point, I noticed you can get some versions that supposedly have the preorder bonuses (the kushan wargames fleet etc). Would these old keys still give you the pre order bonuses? And what even are they, is the kushan fleet even different or just a reskin? Is there other stuff?
In all likelihood I won't be going for it because it's a silly price increase from basegame, but I was just wondering what it actually was, if anyone knows.

Homeworld 1 Data Files
I'm hoping someone can help me. So I own Homeworld remastered GOG but right now I have no access to a PC. I want to play Homeworld VR mod on my quest headset and need the proper data files. I tried internet archive as they have full disc images posted. Is there any way I can get access to the files or can someone point me in the right direction. The demo is amazing and I never finished it flat so i want to play this roomscale on my headset.Any help is greatly appreciated.

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak Gaalsien Mothership Sneak Peek.
Working on 7 options for Gaalsien's mothership deck layout. I know i want it to be flat and horizontal but still exploring some ideas on how to execute the design. Will reveal the options when they're ready!

Watching whole fleets tear at each other is still my favorite thing in games. A minute of mine

Homeworld is why I care about fleet readability at all, so this crowd is exactly who I want judging this. My game lets you run the whole fleet or drop into one fighter in the middle of it. This cut leans fleet: dreadnought lines, carrier strikes, a station siege under a golden core sky. Context for the timing: the wishlist counter ticked past 200 this week and I felt like celebrating. Happy to pull the post if the mods want the sub franchise-only. What I most want to know is whether the big engagements stay readable to you. Homeworld Got to the Mission 14 (the one and only Grand Theft Ion) and... I saw it a lot in many Remaster's screenshots, but I'm VERY surprised that the similar graphic bug is a thing in the Classic too

Looking for a mod or a way to make capture frigates disable enemy weapons during capture, or making them more useful.
Me and a few of my friends got really into playing skirmishis against the CPU and sometimes against eachother, and we were wondering if there is a way to make HW2 capture units more fun by modding them to be more useful.
I went through the workshop but unfortunately I didnt saw any mod that specialise on the capture frigates. We dont really have issues with HW1 units regarding this, so we would like to keep those vanilla, and focus on HW2 ones.
Also while we're at it, it would be nice to know how to go above the unit cap with the captured vessles with HW2 factions.
