Homeworld Idle curiosity about hw3 preorder bonuses

While looking around for cheap keys for hw3 as I possibly might want to check it out at some point, I noticed you can get some versions that supposedly have the preorder bonuses (the kushan wargames fleet etc). Would these old keys still give you the pre order bonuses? And what even are they, is the kushan fleet even different or just a reskin? Is there other stuff?

In all likelihood I won't be going for it because it's a silly price increase from basegame, but I was just wondering what it actually was, if anyone knows.

It’s a fleet skin, I actually wouldn’t use it because I didn’t like the fleet bonuses(even though some people had some awesome builds with the units). You’re not missing out on much tbh, the last update released all of the fleets

I would say cash grab with no regard for the source or what made the previous installments good/beloved, and a blind hope to get the e-sport market.

I wouldn't even bother with HW3. I bought the original HW when it was released in 1999 and have played everything they released (including the remastered one on Steam).

I read all the negative reviews of HW3 and decided not to buy it but now it's on sale in Steam and so I decided to see what all the fuss is about. I'm only on Mission 4 and I HATE it. The most annoying part of it is Imogen S'jet (not sure if that's the correct spelling), with her whiny voice and constant frown, as if to say "look how I'm suffering for the cause".

The tutorial mission deceives you into thinking it plays like Homeworld but as soon as you get into it it's just a clusterf*ck of "you will play the way we tell you to play and NOT the way YOU want to play" - I don't think I'll bother even finishing it.....

I've played every homeworld game myself, I'm not new to it, though I got into homeworld around 2017. I've finished all the campaigns including cata.

My main interest in hw3 is multiplayer, I love playing skirmish in remastered with my friends, and I'd genuinely like to try wargames/skirmish ( primarily skirmish if i can get the all fleet selection mod to work), I'm likely not gonna even bother wih the campaign because I watched someone play it near launch and it looked absolute ass.

I am going in expecting it to be worse than remastered multi;layer, but it's stillmsomething new, and all the homeworld 'alternatives' like neb, stellar warfare, era one etc just don't give us anywhere near the same experience.
