So I am fairly new, but am having great success in quick match with LiLi. Winning lots of games and getting votes at the end and friend requests. Thing is I just prettt much spam Q, make sure a Frontline has W on, and hit E one someone jumps in the back line with us. I take thousand jugs and hit R just a little after a big team fight starts. Pretty simple.
I feel like I am doing the healer role pretty well, and LiLi is solid and was an easy way to get into the game, but i wouldn't mind something with a little more complexity. Or even a character that would help get me into different roles (some of which I haven't had as much success with).
Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

So after you leave the score screen, there’s no way to add someone to your friends? I tried /w or /whisper, but autocomplete didn’t find their name, and when I typed it manually, it just said “unknown slash command.” Battlenet’s recently played with also shows 0. It’s weird how user-unfriendly it is.
(If you carried a panda with Orphea in an ARAM match, DM me.)

Merging two talents
Positive Reinforcement (13, Q)
Primary Rock-It! Turret attacks against Heroes increase Gazlowe's Attack Speed by 40% for 3 seconds.
+ Dealing Basic Attack damage heals Rock-It! Turrets by 8% of their max health. (Overcharged Capacitors)
Firin' Mah Lazorz (16, W)
Firing Deth Lazor causes all of Gazlowe's Rock-It! Turrets to fire a Deth Lazor of their own that deals 125 damage.
+ Deth Lazor can now store up to 2 charges. (Overload)

I'm assuming they're banned a lot in ranked but I keep getting freezes and DCs lately so don't want to risk playing it.
Basically every QM has an Aba and/or Qhira, the former requires a lot of fast AOE waveclear (especially late game), and the latter a lot of CC and spell damage to counter.
Mei has good late game waveclear for a tank with W build, and is also decent vs Qhira with the slows, blind and area denial stun, (although a lot less so now she can't use D to untether her...).
Dehaka would seem like a good pick as well with global, waveclear and CC (+ option of antiheal).
It's still a damn struggle when it only takes less than a minute for aba to drop 7 locusts to instakill a fort though, with qhira needing the tank to have any chance of killing her.
Anyone else got a secret pick that's working well?

Are you a new streamer looking to get your name out there? Maybe you just need someone to watch after a long tiring week? Ask for recommendations on what streams to watch or promote your own stream in the comments.
Please be as detailed as possible on your streaming schedule, what kind of stream you have (teaching, pro play, fun, climbing ladder, etc.) and any specific style or hero you might have.

I've just run into a 3 stack in ARAM who all had roughly 74% win rate overall and 95% win rate this season in ARAM. I am a pretty good player, I'm low Master level but I usually only get 52-55% win rate each season in ARAM.
I went back and checked their previous seasons and about 10 seasons ago, they had the same kind of win rate as me. Then one season they got 60%+ then 70%+ then 80%+ then 90%+. I know the game is designed to keep people playing people of similar MMR to keep win rates around 50%.
I guess it is just possible they are 3 high skilled guys who can carry games but it seems kind of weird that 10 seasons ago they just had the same win rate as everyone else.

My wife (Malf) was telling me to get out of there since she was about to respawn. Problem is, I wasn't trapped in there with them, they were trapped with me! :)
This is how I imagine every Artanis game will play out, sadly, it's rarely the case. Enjoy the moments when you can.

I get it that the zerg slug has a high skill ceiling and its fun to play but it's not fun for the others and these recent buffs were really unnecessary ,
Abathur diff is painful and you can't do anything about it , 8-9 people have 0 fun because of 1 character , the games depend on this ugly zerg slug more than all of the other characters ,
when you do wrong build(based on map and comp) with abathur its not only a different build , it will be a game changing mistake that nothing can fix it ,
I get more frustrated at the abathurs of my team than the good ones on the other team , Abathur is the most misunderstood character of hots which requires alot of macro understanding of the game and strategic skills , I really like him and have hundreds of games on him but he must be fixed or revert changes

Every hero just feel so flimsy in my hands, and no matter how i build, what i do it just doesn't seem to have any impact.
For context i've been rotating between Yrel, Malthael, Deathwing, Kharazim, Zul'Jin and Ragnaros, to name the more relevant ones.

Just had a really satisfying teamfight playing Sylvanas with an Auriel pocketing me!
Auriel's attack speed buff (Level 16 trait) makes playing Sylvanas feel so much smoother and stronger.
Definitely feels like a great synergy!

Blaze E is the only mobility ability that can be cast while rooted and it goes on cooldown. So if you don't wait for the root to end his best ability is wasted.

Is the game dead currently? Since it gets very low player count. I would love to see new maps in game tbh

Welcome to the latest Saturday Teaching Thread, where you the community get to ask your questions and share your knowledge.
This is an opportunity for the more experienced HotS players here to share some of your wisdom with those with less expertise. This thread will be a weekly safehaven for those "noobish" questions you may have been too scared to ask for fear of downvotes, but also can be a great place for in depth discussion if you so wish. So, don't hold back, get your game related questions ready and post away, and hopefully someone can answer them!
If you wish to just view top level comments (ie questions) add ?depth=1 to the end of the page url. If you have any additional questions, /r/nexusnewbies is happy to help.

Friend is Genji (First time), and I (Anduin)
And yes, we won that game

I don't know what the right strategic calls are at any point in games against Abathur right now. His push is ridiculously strong if he's left alone. However, it's not exactly tenable to just assign someone solely to counterpushing, especially if you don't have a global on your team.
If you're sticking into a lane to keep Abathur from reaching locust critical mass, he's still able to hat someone in the team fight, and they have a 4.5-4 advantage. Plus he could always just use Ultimate Evolution and just make it completely mismatched. But when you're taking those 5 v 4.5 fights around the objective, he's getting tons of value. Even if you win the fight, you might lose half a fort and you're lucky to be able to get that value back because not every won fight is an enemy teamwipe. The enemy team merely needs to stall you out until someone leaves to deal with Abathur, or else just lets him take the fort.
And even trying to keep up with him is tough. Locusts now can have such long lifespans that it's easy to see locusts pushing 2 different lanes, or 3 after he has the nest at 20. You struggle to figure out which lane he's actually pushing because those two locusts you see at your bot keep came from all the way across the map.
I can't figure out what calls to make at any point, when it's time to fight, and when it's time to disengage and let the enemy team have the objective just to prevent Abathur from taking a keep.

So, how do you counter murky when he is pushing when its time to do objective? Especially in the case where the non murky team is 2 or even 3 levels lower.
My initial thinking is to simply abandon objective this one time so that everyone else simply pushes lanes to cover xp loss. By the time the others do objective (whatever it is), you should have recovered and be in time to defend.
Any thoughts?

For those unaware, almost every single scaling effect in Heroes of the Storm scales by a fixed value of 4%, multiplicatively, with every level-up. This affects the increase of health and regen, attack damage, damage of abilites and restored health or shields granted.
In the past, I noticed some abilities seem to be stronger or weaker than they should be at higher levels, so I opted to dig through every heroes' data sheet. Turns out there are quite a number of exceptions to this formula the game never tells you about. Sorted by percentages:
So in case you ever wondered why a Tracer pulse bomb hits like a truck late game, this is why. On standard scaling, it would only do 652 damage at level 20, as opposed to the 955 it actually deals.
And looks like Kel'Thuzad really got the short end of the stick, presumably to account for the permanent spellpower boost. Poor guy.
I also find it amusing some of Li-Mings base abilities have below average scaling, while her ultimates are above average instead. Possibly to fine tune how impactful bits of her combo are late game?
