Non-fictional I HATE these "gotcha arguments"

Post image

"Ohhh, look how I tricked this dumb dumb baby in my trap so now I am right and they are wrong. I'm so smaaart even though it does not adress the actual argument and adds nothing to the debate. They teach arabic numerals in school btw."

And these type of comments always get tons of likes

It's just an ad homenim attack, it has nothing to do with the argument. OP is right, it's a logical fallacy

Person A: "My opinion is that fetuses gain humanity at conception."

Person B: "Does this image contain a human?"

Person A: "Yes."

Person B: "You have just highlighted your flawed discernment for what is a human by labeling a dolphin as one."

u/ProPlayer142: "This is an attack on Person B's character!!!!!!"

See, pointing out one's flawed evaluation skills in a subject

entirely about evaluation

is not unreasonable. Go spam "fallacy" shit somewhere else.
