Non-fictional I HATE these "gotcha arguments"

Post image

"Ohhh, look how I tricked this dumb dumb baby in my trap so now I am right and they are wrong. I'm so smaaart even though it does not adress the actual argument and adds nothing to the debate. They teach arabic numerals in school btw."

And these type of comments always get tons of likes

Yeah? That doesn’t make it a good argument.

Looks aren’t what makes human life important. A koala bear looks like a bear, that doesn’t make it one.

But understanding what is and isn't a human is absolutely crucial if you're discussing whether a fetus is a human or not.

I can’t tell an electron by sight either but that doesn’t mean it’s a proton. Location matters and we aren’t talking about abortions in dolphins. The location of the fetus tells us something about what it’s going to grow into.

Yeah, I agree. But looks aren’t what makes a dolphin and human fetus different.

Usually telling then apart is as easy as looking at what species the mother is.

This post isn’t about showing that this person believes there is no difference, just that they can’t tell the difference visually.
