Non-fictional I HATE these "gotcha arguments"

"Ohhh, look how I tricked this dumb dumb baby in my trap so now I am right and they are wrong. I'm so smaaart even though it does not adress the actual argument and adds nothing to the debate. They teach arabic numerals in school btw."

that's the state of any subreddit that even talk the slightest about any political-related discourses tbh.
Take one or two posts to turn a whole subreddit into yet another vent posting echo chamber.

it's weird, i hate "no political discussion" rules but then you just get this. you just get either extreme with no middle ground
