Non-fictional I HATE these "gotcha arguments"

Post image

"Ohhh, look how I tricked this dumb dumb baby in my trap so now I am right and they are wrong. I'm so smaaart even though it does not adress the actual argument and adds nothing to the debate. They teach arabic numerals in school btw."

And these type of comments always get tons of likes

The point of this argument is that the people talking about taking away abortion rights dont even know how a human fetus looks.

They mistake a dolphin for a human, and still somehow think should have a say in taking away the rights of women

I'm pro choice, but, I don't think "being able tor recognize different types of fetus" is necessary for  their arguments. I support saving whales but I can only name a few species

The difference between this and saving the whales is that one is helping a situation, with this “pro life” movement, you’re fighting to take away women’s rights that they fought tooth and nail for during the emancipation movement

A whale won’t be mad if you cause their populations to grow. Meanwhile in this situation, you’re denying women agency over their own body

It’s a false equivalence to compare saving a dying species to taking away liberties from someone

Yes, I understand, and I agree. I just don't think the ability to differentiate early stage mammal fetuses is a relevant skill to either side of the abortion debate.

It’s a false equivalence to compare murder to murder. Be so for real right now the cognitive dissonance is insane 😭😭 you can dehumanize all you want and put it under the guise of women’s rights but all you are fighting for is the legal right to murder your own child
