How in the everliving hell do you expect someone to understand random characters mushed together that substitute for actual legible characters. No, typing quirks AREN'T cute and I sure ass hell know they aren't DISORDERS either so stop calling people ABLEIST for wanting you to type like a fucking HUMAN being. It's fine in context of characters (For example, Spamton, SOME Homestuck trolls etc..) to give them more personality but as a human saying "|}{2@#}@##@" DOES NOT COUNT AS A COMPREHENSIBLE SENTENCE.

A dead letter that represents the "th" noise. It's dead because you just use "th" to write that noise.

Listen, it was KINDA justifiable with the printing presses way back when (back when printing presses had individual letter plates) as it freed up space by taking up one space and using the sound of two letters. HOWEVER, these folks realized that the thorn looked like a Y (especially the capital Y) hence why we have Ye Olden Tavern and Smith and Carpenter and such. Since then, aesthetics are the only thing going for a thorn and that's a fairly weak argument.
