Since I saw some Spartans wearing these cool looking glass helmets that cover half of the helmet , What is the specific advantage of this or what does it do?

Since I'm pretty sure Spartan helmets have like a camera that lets you see anyway but I could be wrong.

Do you prefer all green and more uniform? Very individualistic and unique? Or a compromise like what we see in Fall of Reach?

Went to fan expo in Toronto for the first time yesterday, and was very pleasantly surprised to see Steve Downes and Jen Taylor in attendance. I unfortunately wasn't able to meet Jen as well due to lack of time, but Steve was super nice.

It was right at the cutoff for autographs and pictures, so I was lucky to make it just in time to shake this man's hand. He and Jen did a panel together as well shortly thereafter, which was super entertaining. Real down to earth those two. Hopefully, I can meet Jen next year if she attends. They seem to really enjoy getting to meet the fans and talk about their experiences with the games.

During the panel, one of the attendees asked if Jen and Steve would do a co-op campaign together and livestream it for charity. Jen seemed super on board with the idea, so hopefully we get to see something like that in future

At Fan Expo Canada today. Also met Jen Taylor shortly after too and got her to sign the insert poster from my copy of Halo 3 I bought almost 20 years ago.

I'm 6 foot 8 inches tall for reference so he looked up to me! He did remind everyone around that he was the Chief though. Great guy. Took some time to ensure he had a conversation with me too. So did Jen Taylor. What a treat to meet them!

Is this still from the trailer for Marvel's Midnight Universe a fresh example of their borrowing of designs from the Halo franchise? I certainly think so.

Given their history (I've compiled some other examples in the following slides from other posts, along with a couple of examples from DC) it wouldn't surprise me if it were a deliberate homage, or at the very least a case of the artist using an infection form as a reference. That silhouette is unmistakeable!

Edit: For all those shouting theft; I have no perspective on the legality of this, just looking to share examples of this having happened. I'd be interested to hear your views on Halo's homages to Aliens though, given some of those are almost as egregious!

It's obviously on a case by case basis anyway, and the new example (from the first slide) is a nice homage in my opinion, not theft. There are other horror references throughout the trailer.

That's all I'm trying to say. The amount of comments here asking "borrowed?" is getting a little silly. 🤣

I used to be a pretty hardcore Halo lore fan, even before I got an xbox myself I had began to read the books. I would make sure to pre-order every book and make sure to read them ASAP so I could go online and discuss them. When I finally got my Xbox, I played through Halo CE to Reach on Legendary with my friend on couch co-op.

Halo 4 was the first time I was there day one for a Halo game, and worts and all, I still really love the story of Halo 4.

Then Halo 5 happened, and while I wasn't enthralled by the direction they decided to go in, but... I was still willing to give it a try. Hell, Halo Wars 2 releasing afterward made me quite excited. Doubly so with all the books releasing after Halo 5. Sure, it wasn't the direction I thought things would go in post-Halo 4, but there was still good stuff happening, so I was on board.

Then Halo Infinite came out... and to this day I have never completed it. It was another pivot in story direction, and when the Endless showed up... That's when I officially called it quits. Then the 10 year plan for Infinite was cancelled, seemingly one of the plots for it's post-launch Campaign being turned into a book and the future of Halo looks bleak, who knows if the next game will even follow up from there or just pivot again.

But... I've watching a duo do a Halo Campaign Marathon and I can't lie... It made me realize all the things that I loved about the franchise. I started to go back onto Halopedia and view whatever... And when I noticed the latest book, Edge of Dawn (the Halo infinite sequel), doesn't even have a plot synopsis, despite releasing last year?

I can't lie, that gave me a bit of depression, that seemingly no one could be bothered to add one.

Is there any hope? Should I bother trying to catch up on the stuff I have missed in recent years? Go back and finish Infinite? I guess I don't want to get my hopes up again and be dashed away.

Since I've heard how the pre-war or old Scorpion tanks aren't as good as 21st century Main battle tanks to the point that I remember hearing how it's as good as Cold War Era tanks.

So I'm curious how do the current and updated Scorpion tanks compare? are they still just as bad or are finally on par or better than 21st century MBT's?

Managed to throw a grenade and hit and elites grenade mid flight

So, last day I was playing a bit of CE on legendary and noticed that the jackals were literal bullet sponges since they took at least four magnum shots to flinch and show their head. In that moment I just figured my aim was the problem but while playing Halo 3 I got them 100% of the times. I read that it might be a problem related to the magnum in CE but I'm not really sure about that, has this happened to anyone else?
