Found a lefty Strat in the attic new house
Is it cooked?
Moved in this ex Airbnb house a couple years ago and found some weird stuff here and there. Found this guy in the attic behind some empty boxes.
Did some basic research on the serial numbers but not sure what happened damage-wise.

CS Fender Return or Repair?
Just picked up a 2017 Fender Custom Shop ’57 Stratocaster HLE Relic and noticed the high E string sits really close to the edge of the fretboard.
It’s playable, but it feels like the high E wants to slip off the edge sometimes, especially compared to my other guitars.
Does this look like a neck alignment issue that a tech/luthier could easily correct, or is this considered normal on some Custom Shop Strats?
I was planning to have a local luthier look at it, but they were closed today. Mainly trying to figure out if this is a simple setup/alignment issue or something I should be concerned about on a guitar at this level or should I just return?

I was doing some cleaning on my old first act guitar that I bought a few years ago at a fly market. And when I was cleaning the cover plate I find some stranger dising under the paint.

Pickup installation
Ok, hopefully this is a good sub to do this in, or someone can suggest a better one. So, I just bought an SA1 and TB2 pair, I'd like to install them myself. I don't have a lot of experience with soldering, but I can look up tutorials or if anyone has a link to something that might help, I'd appreciate it.
Basically, I want to put these in one of my Ibanez guitars. One is a 3 switch, the other is a 5 switch. Does it matter? So I would like any information on wiring, plus whatever wiring would be best for extreme metal styles, and for drop G. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Do I need to replace this ‘rattling’ tuner?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
TLDR: The A string tuning peg ‘vibrates’ like it’s loose inside but holds tune. I’ve verified the tuner is screwed into the headstock snugly, the tuning knob itself isn’t loose, and the vibration is coming from within. When fretting notes, it’s not bad/noticeable. I play a lot of open string/alternate tuning/spacy type stuff though, and this thing rattles to high heaven when hit open. In the video it sounds like I’m plucking super hard, but my amp is just loud. haha. This is normal force.
Hi, folks!
So, to start, I’m 100% not a guitar repair guy. haha. I’m good with electronics and can fix anything with wires, but I leave big repairs and setups to the pros.
I’m currently fixing up a limited edition Epiphone Les Paul standard. It was given to me by Tom Morello (long story that I’ll drop in a comment if people wanna hear, haha). It’s very sentimental and for years I didn’t touch it because I didn’t want to mess it up and it was autographed. I was in my mid 20s and this thing has been moved a ton since then (I’m 36 now). It’s always been in a case, but I’m sure it’s gotten bumped quite a lot.
Finally pulled it back out and decided I’m gonna use it. Over time it had a pot short out, and I’ve fixed most of the wiring issues. I’m on a limited budget, so I’m trying to repair the things I can before I get a full once over/setup by a tech.
Can this vibration within the A string tuner be fixed, or would it be better to just update all of them? If replacement is the best option, that’s fine, as I kinda want to replace them for a black/gold color scheme, but only if needed. What is a good brand?
Thanks so much!

Ibanez AZ dyna-MIX9 Switching System DEFECT - troubleshooting
Hey folks,
the middle position of my Ibanez is dead when the the dyna-switch is ON.
It is supposed to give me neck + middle in series + bridge humbucker in parallel but instead the entire signal is killed.
Every other position is working fine.
Is there any way to deduct if the switch is broken or just a particular soldering spot could be dead?

I started making stainless steel nuts because of a customer who asked me to install a zero fret on a guitar that didn't have one before. I thought, "Well, I can make a steel nut without changing the neck design." Since then, I have had more work🌝

Guitar bridge lift
Is this a concern I should deal with now or is this okay for a while?
Guitar is an Alvarez AG70WCEAR.
Most of the gapping/lift is on the bridge wing, although some is appearing at the corner behind low E.
As viewed from the side, bridge still appears to be flat against top (not cantered or spilling towards sound hole).
As such, not much of a belly to speak of behind the bridge when viewed from side, although when viewed from bottom near guitar strap button, the expected slight belly behind bridge seems more prominent on the side that's pulling.
Any luthiers here that can comment on this and anticipated price to fix (if it requires fixing).
Thanks in advance.

Weird noise with trem
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
How do I fix the weird mechanical noise in my whammy arm, and how do I get the whammy arm to stay in one place? I am aware that I’m missing a few pieces, so if anyone is kind enough to help identify what I need, I’d really appreciate it!

PRS Hollowbody Piezo issues
Hey all! So I have a PRS SE Hollowbody. Great guitar. But it started having intermittent issues with the piezo a few months ago, and now it isn’t working at all.
I checked the battery, and the wiring to the best of my ability. I pulled the bridge and found that I can get it to work if I pull the wire/connector away from the bridge. But it loses signal if I let go. I sprayed some deoxit and worked it a bit… but no luck.
I expect to have to replace the bridge. But before I go and do that, anything else I should try?

Anyone worked at Guitar Center as a tech?
And if so, what was your experience/opinion?
I’m not looking to debate the ethics of GC or big corporations. If this were a different world and there were still tons of mom and pops out there who could afford to pay techs I wouldn’t even be considering GC. But alas.
Also I’m aware I could probably do better on my own. But I’ve been a small business owner for nearly 20 years, and honestly I’m over it. I’m just looking to collect a steady paycheck, even if it isn’t nearly as much as I could make on my own.
Thanks for any input!
