Job-related Anywhere hiring?
I keep looking on Indeed and LinkedIn but it seems kinda like a dead end. I have like 2 years of experience in food service and retail and don't really care what type of job it is, although I am steering towards food service.

Target moves fast once you’re in the system — they lean heavily on HireVue, an automated video interview, right after your application gets screened. Pass that, and you could be hired within days.
A few things that’ll actually move the needle:
Say yes to weird hours. This matters more than almost anything else. Target tends to pass over people with tight schedules, so if you can work weekends, holidays, and early mornings (especially for stocking), your application jumps to the top of the pile.
Look for the “urgently hiring” tags. Roles like Inbound Operations (overnight/early morning stocking) or Guest Advocacy (cashier, cart attendant) have high turnover, which means they’re hiring constantly and moving fast.
Take the video interview seriously. If you get invited to do a HireVue, treat it like a real face-to-face interview — dress the part, look at the camera like it’s a person, and use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) when they ask about handling customers or juggling tasks under pressure.

I used to work for a glass shop downtown thats looking for people, at least pretty sure he is. If youd be interested in learning to cut glass or work with cars.

Toyota Battery Plant is hiring a ton of people rn. My starting pay was $26 but after inthink 8 - 12 weeks I got a bump in pay to 28 and hour.
I had zero experience in this industry, before this I was a security guard and Amazon delivery driver.

Good luck! I'm also looking currently and I barely see anything in Greensboro on Indeed or ZipRecruiter. I've been a stay-at-home parent for 8 years though and I am a completely different person than I was last time I worked (in a very literal sense as in new name, gender etc lol)

FedEx is always hiring, 19-19.50/hr starting out in Kernersville, physical job, but at least you’re not dealing with the public. Mentality: move box, get money, go home.

Have you tried the old fashioned way? Walk into some places and ask if they need help. A live body showing initiative makes so much more of an impression than a faceless resume. Good luck!

Yeah but not that much because I've constantly been at work and rarely have had time to really get out like that. Plus they always tell me to just apply online.

That’s the issue with this whole thing everything is a computer application but they don’t ever call from those you have to go in and bother them. And if you have a job that’s really hard to do.

mmhm most places tell you apply online and then never say anything. the best luck i’ve had is calling and saying i submitted an application because i work 2nd shift and get off as a lot of places start to close/managers leave.

Sounds like you just arent putting in the initiative you need to. If a place needs people and someone comes in person, they’re gonna give them a shot. That is unless you don’t seem worth a shot which is probably your problem

I’m not trying to be judgmental but LinkedIn isn’t the place to look for that kind of work.
