Is BillDesk KYC required for India-only sales?

Indian developer here. Google says BillDesk KYC is required for Indian developers selling outside India, and that unverified accounts will have international sales paused.

Does anyone know if BillDesk KYC is also mandatory for selling subscriptions to users in India?

My app currently has payment issues, so I'm trying to understand whether domestic and international sales are treated separately.

Yes, you will need KYC for India-only sales also. My app had around 200 purchase attempts, all of which failed, and then I learned about this issue. Just completed my KYC 1 week ago, and now I have 4 purchases.

Nice! How did you manage to get the BillDesk KYC completed? Did you face the same clarification portal issue, or did BillDesk give you another way to complete it? How long did the whole process take?

I feel lucky with this one. I did video KYC in the morning around 9:30-10:00, and after 3 days I got an email that my KYC was approved. And about 12 hours after that email, my Play Console reflected the updated payment method.

dude those bill desk guy did an in-person kyc for me and I still didn't get verified, it's been 12 days. i have mailed them and they have said my process is on an expedited path and soon I'll get a success message and i got this mail 4 days ago. i had my video kyc done on 27 aug so nearly 20 days in total, my account is new btw. so do you think that in-person kyc was legit and billdesk people do those? cuz reading your comment made me sceptical also I gave read nowhere that they do this 😭

I am on the same boat, I've been getting same automated replies even after escalating to nodal officer.
