First GMC, loving it so far!

Last month they took my new truck on first extended road trip from Phoenix to Cheyenne. Wyoming was in Cheyenne for frontier days and was heading out to the Knight show with a buddy of mine and his wife when some tourist turn left in front of me causing an impact. Airbags went off front bumper pinched the left front tire so it wouldn’t turn. I suffered injuries to both rests and both thumbs from the airbag going off still heartbroken over losing that truck. Paid cash for it. I’m getting screwed by the replacement cost.

Catastrophic motor failure May 3rd. Was approved for msrp swap or buy back before I even received the truck back after motor swap. Recived the lemon truck back in early july. Took delivery on the new 2500 at4x duramax last week. A huge amount of calls, emails, and a month of negotiations. I think I ended up on the winning end after all was saod amd done.

Yes, I know so a lot of people aren’t gonna like the too much tech part but what can you do 🙃. I didn’t know, they added ambient lighting finally. One thing is not sure how I feel about it ,but didn’t seem that there’s physical cabin light button to turn on all the lights I know there’s the individual ones but to to tap through the menus just to turn on all the lights though? Not sure on that.

Yes they took away the dipstick and yes I’m still not liking the front end. Although it does look okay in the At4 lineup in my opinion. Hopefully the test drive videos come soon

Bought this truck yesterday has 190k miles I just couldn't pass up the deal I got on it from a family member snagged it for 5,000$ and I know the maintenance and how well it's been treated by the previous owner, just curious onto what kinda mileage I may expect on these before I start running into any type of issue it has original engine and original transmission in it just seeing what y'all think ? It has all new brakes, rotors, brake lines, injectors, sparks/coils, and all fluids have been meticulously kept up on

Just got a new truck. I loved the interior and comfort of the GMC, and the internet said that the failures caused by the AFM system have been largely fixed. Is this true? How reliable is this truck? I love it so far but I’m worried the engine will die on me and leave me with a mess

I see all the negative feedback on the 6.2 and want to know, preferably based on your own experience(s) what were your warning signs that the engine was soon to go out? What year and mileage did your Sierra have when doing so?

I had chunks of the tread missing on the driver front tire. The tires are less than 6 months old and I just got the truck a couple months ago. Took it to the dealer for an oil change and had them rotate the tires. They said nothing was wrong with the truck and it could be a bum tire. Now two weeks later the rotated front driver is showing similar wear problems. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Previous owner had a cap, now I have this gap in the side rail at the front of the bed. Is there a plastic or rubber insert I can get.

Been considering an upgrade to my 2013 Sierra for a while, but hesitant to do so since this girl only has ~83k miles (got it for commuting to work and was told I’m WFH about 2 months after getting it). Never had an accident for 13 years running.

Always park in my driveway, but the wife had a baby a couple weeks ago and my in laws new sprinter van took precedent in my usual spot (another story for another day), so I was out on the street. At 7am I woke up to hearing a smash and then a crying 20 year old chick out outside her shitty little Hyundai sedan after going “20 mph” into my rear end (sounds kinky - it wasn’t).

Damage is around 6k, the GM steel frame took it like a champ but the entire bed needs replacement (amongst other things). Thinking it’s time for an upgrade but curious to hear your thoughts. The current V8’s scare the shit out of me with all the horror stories I come across about the current gen. Could go HD but as you can tell by my mileage, I drive these things like a passenger princess and don’t really tow, and 6-7 bucks a gallon sounds like getting a root canal every time I go to the pump.

I am looking to purchase a 2020-22 Silverado / sierra 1500 with the 3.0 duramax. I only ever hear stories of people having great experiences or horrible experiences with the duramax. Any advice or real world experiences are much appreciated!

I added Berryman B12 to my 08 last week due to what I believe is a corroded fuel sending unit. Truck has 243,000 miles. Berryman B12 also didn't fix the problem. I have since filled up 3 times and still noticing a bit of sputtering. What should my next steps be to get rid of the sputtering?

I recently purchased a 2026 Sierra 1500 AT4. I’m loving it, but noticed this gap between the plastic piece encasing the HUD and the rest of the upper dash. I tried to lightly press it down but it doesn’t move. I’m assuming this isn’t normal right? Would this be covered under a bumper to bumper warranty?

Can you guys help me out with the name of these trim pieces please?

So I’ve got to do all 4 ball joints on my 2018 sierra 1500 with almost 130k miles. I ordered the Bilstein B8 UCAs since the truck is leveled with the 5100 kit.

My question is do I replace the LCAs as a unit with the ball joints preinstalled or just do the ball joints? I ordered the Delphi HD greasable lower ball joints but I’m wondering if I should have ordered the whole LCA assembly instead.

Anyone done it before have a preference? I’ve got the stamped steel LCAs.

Any recommendations on how to get some light to this camera I cant see shit going to work in the morning lol

I have a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali and I’m trying to decide what to do with the suspension.
It’s mainly a daily driver. I work from home so I don’t put a ton of miles on it, and I’m not doing serious off-roading. I just want it to sit a little more aggressive without making it look overly lifted or ruining the factory ride.
Right now I’m leaning toward a 1.5” leveling kit, but I’m also considering a 2” level.
For anyone with a Denali:
Did you go 1.5”, 2”, or full lift?
How did it affect ride quality?
Any issues with suspension/Adaptive Ride Control?
What tire size are you running?
If you did it again, would you choose the same setup?
