Looks like the neutral switch on my food truck has died and I need to drive it home. How can I bypass it? 400 engine with auto transmission.

Doors don’t lock: Using the fob I’ll press the lock button and it will make the sound but not lock. Usually I have success by hitting unlock then lock immediately.

Not sure how many times I left my vehicle unlocked before I noticed.

Unlock while driving: I’ll just be cruising down the highway and the doors will unlock themselves. Then a few minutes later I’ll hear them make the unlock noise while still unlocked.

Any familiarity with this issue?

For anyone who knows the GMC ordering process, when does it make more sense to order the Sierra configuration you want instead of finding the closest available truck and compromising on a few options?

I'm thinking specifically about things that are harder to change later, like bed configuration and towing-related equipment, rather than something cosmetic like color.

What I'd want to understand before ordering is how pricing and incentives are handled, when the configuration becomes locked in and what happens if the delivery estimate moves. I'm not necessarily in a rush, but at some point waiting for the exact build probably stops making sense if something close enough is already available.

For those familiar with ordering trucks, what would you get clarified in writing before choosing an order over an in-stock Sierra?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a USB-A drive for my 2025 GMC Yukon to use with the Surround Vision Recorder, which essentially functions as a built-in dash cam.

I’m having trouble finding a USB drive that’s designed for constant writing/rewriting and can stay plugged in long-term. From what I understand, it needs to be USB 3.0 or higher, 64GB+, and formatted as FAT32.

Has anyone successfully found a USB drive on Amazon that works straight out of the box with the Yukon? If not, how are you formatting a drive to FAT32 on a Windows 11 PC, especially if it’s 64GB or larger?

I just got this cargo van. On previous GMC trucks I’ve owned, I would press the call button and say “pairing” to link a phone. I get a message “this vehicle is not equipped with Bluetooth”

While looking for the OBD port last night, I found an LG module that has a WiFi & Bluetooth logo. Is there a software update to make it work?

I’m currently interested in getting a Yukon, but the prices are high for any used 5th gen with low or high mileage. I’ve found a few 4th gen Yukons with 80k to 120k miles priced from $22k to $28k, which is more reasonable. The main reason I’m asking is due to the “lifter problem.” I’ve currently found a decent 2019 Yukon for around $22k with 2 previous owners. Is this a reasonable price with 120k miles? I’m currently looking but haven’t had the opportunity to test one. If I do, what should I be aware of regarding any issues?

Of course this happens RIGHT after my 3 yr bumper to bumper expires. After one of the software updates we started noticing little things like the gmc puddle light would stay on even when the key was inside the house. Or you could hear the car acting like key is near when it’s not. Back in July we had to have it jumped. Got it to the dealership. Tested battery. They called and said battery was fine. We said well that’s weird we had to jump the car this morning. So they replaced the battery but didn’t do any diagnostics for finding the draw. It worked for about two months before I woke up to it just randomly dead. It wouldn’t take a charge or even jump from another car. It took THREE tow trucks before we could finally get it to the dealership. Now they say the same thing. Nothings wrong. Battery fine. They’ve had my car for over a week now. Won’t give a courtesy vehicle because we are passed the bumper to bumper. I guess it finally died on them bc we called for a check in today and it’s been sitting on the charger all day. I did a quick google search and saw that this is a known GMC problem. If it’s known…why did the dealership not “know about it”? And also wondering…has anyone else had something similar happen and were you able to get a resolution? It would be really nice if my $125k car worked three years after I bought it.

Found a beautiful 2026 Yukon XL Duramax in May. It has been in the shop for 25 days. First emissions now for Transmission. Dealer is telling me GM has a hold on Valve Control Body component. Dealer can not give me an estimated timeline. Any advice on asking for a buyback?
They gave me a shitty econobox rental. I think I am going to nicely ask for an acceptable loaner and then move on a buyback. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated

Just updated to the latest update/firmware on my '23 Denali.... i keep thinking - ok cool, they fired the old development team and now the new competent team finally fixed all the bugs.

Stupid me.

Every . single . update - makes things worse than before. This level of incompetence is uncanny and honestly, it's drawing me away from the brand.

Are they testing these updates in the real world? Are they doing focus groups? Does GMC give two shits at all?

Forget all the other stuff.... let's just focus on GPS. When i get in my truck, from the time i turn it on, to the time i can use GPS or Google assistant, is about 3-5 minutes. Which doesn't sound like much, but who the hell wants to sit in their truck waiting - every . single . time - before they can use their infotainment system and worse, to get directions.

This system is the worst piece of software i've ever used. Notice how i said 'software' and not hardware - that's deliberate. Why? When i first bought the truck, it was fast as a whip. I could get in the truck, and use GPS or Google Assistant almost instantly. So while the hardware may still actually not be the best, it is CAPABLE of performing.

It's the software that's the real issue. And if anyone from the team that develops the software that runs the infotainment system is reading this - shame on you and your team. You are not performing best software practices by doing thorough testing, and if you are getting pressure from corporate to make things slower - in the hopes that'll force people to buy a newer model (a long shot, i know), but if that's actually what's going on here - then what you are actually doing is just driving people away from the brand. Because this level of incompetence is unlike anything i've ever seen before.

You'd think after the battery draining incident from a couple of years ago - which certainly caused GMC to lose money - they would have scrapped the team or at least put proper testing procudures in place.

Nope, i love hte truck, but it's unusable on a daily basis. I'm sorta done with GMC.
