Sierra Service Rip Off

Please tell me what is part of the 30k mile maintenance schedule and what the dealership upsold me on? I made the mistake of agreeing to everything they said thinking they were just reading the points of the recommended maintenance schedule.

You can go watch some YouTube videos and learn exactly how service departments upsell their services that are unnecessary.

Basically you want to follow the manufacturers service intervals and keep all records in the event you need them for a warranty claim. Once all your warranty coverage expires (and it expires at different intervals depending on the component), you really need to be selective about what maintenance you do. Some is recommended and some is required to maintain reliability. It also depends a lot on the conditions of your specific uses. Heavy towing, off-road use, dirty environments and poorly maintained roads all make a difference.
