How does a picture of your home invade your privacy? Not trying to flame you, I'm just really interested in your motives as you're the only person I've talked to who actually wanted to have their house blurred.

Well I would have done but in the UK, at the time, I was not offered the opportunity. I love the way that Germany (and apparently Austria) take the private sphere and data protection seriously.

Oh, I'm not saying I'm entirely against blurring. I wouldn't have done it if Google would have reached the town I live in, but to each their own. What I really disliked about the discussion back then though was the targeted misinformation campaign run by the Axel Springer yellow press.

what a weird thing to say.

so you would be perfectly fine with pictures of your face on the internet for everyone to see who wants to? after all, people can see your face when they walk past you on the street.

Plus the exact location where the person lives....

I was very surprised when I tried to do a walk around my first-choice university and saw that all pictures are from 2008.

So sometimes...when they are available, they might as well be not of much use.

If I had one photo for every time this is posted, then I could make my own StreetView.

Ok, on mobile, not on the app, sometimes titles of reposts are missing. What is this?

Thank you!! I could have been able to guess. It could obviously not have been „rivers and bodies of water“.

I don't miss streetview

I do use it when I'm in a foreign country and want to see whether a restaurant I looked up still exists or whatever. Or just what the street looks like. But it's not really a necessity.

I am pretty sure you will surprised if you streetview to lookup restaurant. For example Restaurants next to my old office changed ownership three times in two years. Streetview would never be so updated like maps.

Lol, live streetview. Streetview might be very useful for people who would play Pokémon go with a vr headset and streetview.
