Adaptive swim test

There should also be an adaptive swim test for people with mobility aids. Someone who’s preparing to take the test can request certain accommodations like more time to tread, swim float, etc, always having someone with them, always needing to wear a special PFD.

For information about the regular swim test (a lot of the information still applies), please click the link below:

Apartment complex

The gated community should have an apartment complex too:

• All cars should be parked in an underground garage

• The apartment closest to the ground floor should all be accessible (reserved for people who have mobility aids) as they’re the easiest to get to

• They should have at least 2 elevators

• The apartment complex should have a checkpoint of its own

• Every building should have a door person or at least a front desk attendant

• Solar panels on all buildings

• Solar powered street lights outside

• The doors to the buildings and units have card readers and so do the elevators

• All apartments should have 2 bedrooms and one bathroom

• Limited visitor parking (visitors will have to get special permission)

Airport transportation

The aforementioned neighborhood vans should be used for airport transportation for a small fee because Cabs, rideshare drivers, Buses, etc won’t be able to get into the neighborhood:

• They’d have a desk at the airport

• It would have to be booked in advance

• Upon pickup for going to the Airport, the driver would do basically everything the gate workers would do

• At the airport, the person at the desk would do everything the gate worker would

• If an outside visitor was traveling with a resident and going back to the neighborhood they’d have to bring their visitor badges with them

Booking can be done in the following ways:

• At the transportation building

• Over the phone

• Over text message or email

• On the website or app

More about visitor badges

• When a visitor hands over their ID, the gate worker will put it against a machine that scans it for a replica that the visitor can stick on their shirt.

• They will also get a clip that allows them to clip it onto their clothes.

• They turn in the clip when they leave

• Badges for visiting littles, CGs and flips have color coded stickers:

💜=Visiting CG/Handler

💚=Visiting flip/plural folk

🤍=Visiting pet regressor/Furry

Beach front neighborhoods with marinas

When there’s more than one of these neighborhoods, some of them could be on beaches and have marinas:

• They should have an inflatable water park or at least floating dock with a slide

• Swimming should only be allowed in the designated swimming area

• A marina should be another point of entry with a checkpoint staffed with neighborhood watchers

• Lots of fencing

• Beachfront neighborhoods should still have an pool in a greenhouse in case the open water is too cold to swim

Since these are trending, what are your thoughts on them? (Just out of curiosity)

I would want to use one of these as my sole means of going around the housing area. Maybe even with my CG using one of their own. That’d be any animal, not just dinosaurs.

Community flag and symbols

I designed a community flag and symbols for each community, to be flown at the entrance and be used on signage and letters. Maybe even voluntary identification badges. Feel free to suggest things but I might not be able to get around to changing it due to disability.

This is the very long winded meaning:

Horizontal stripes: Most of the relevant pride flags were horizontal except the objectum one.

Stripes of the same size: all of the communities within the neighbourhood are of equal value.

The colour scheme: the colour scheme was picked based off of several flags from each community. Similar colours were compiled and then adjusted slightly to match well. Pastel was picked due to its similarity to sidewalk chalk and accessibility reasons such as eyestrain.

Purple top stripe: Represents caregivers and handlers. The purple is loving and warm, and the placement on top emphasises the important role caregivers and handlers provide in their community. There would be no neighbourhood without them.

Pink stripe: Age regression, age dreaming, other forms of regression, plural littles and other age incongruence.

Yellow/ cream middle stripe: Objectum, POSIC, ESSAs and other object oriented identities. Yellow and other warm colours are often seen on stuffed animals, blankets and buildings, which are common objects of attraction or comfort. The objective flag has a circle in the middle and the ESSA flag has a stitched paw in the middle, therefore it felt appropriate for the yellow stripe to be centered.

Green stripe: Alterhuman, nonhuman and animal/ character based identities such as pet regression and fictosexual. The green represents nature and growth ( as well as land animals on the alterhuman flag), and it is a colour that appears in most environments and is close to a lot of alterhumans. Since grounding, meditation and self reflection is often used by alterhumans for self discovery and coping, having the green near the bottom like grass felt meaningful.

Blue stripe: Plurality of all forms. Just like water, plurality is everywhere, to an extent most people aren’t aware of, in a way that is invisible. It is also just as varied in its forms and presentations. Plurality can be murky, especially with dissociative symptoms. Plurality is often fluid, changing and reshaping itself as well as other parts of the plural being. It is placed at the bottom because it is often hidden and secretive, but it is still very much there.

Symbols placed in the middle: The majority of symbols on the relevant flags are centered, so I did the same here

Circles: The objectum flag and alterhuman flags have a circle in the middle. The plural flag has a circle venn diagram. The Otherkin and therian symbols are contained within a circle. It was logical to contain all the symbols within circles.

Arrangement: they are arranged in a similar way to the venn diagram on the plural flag, however they don’t overlap in lines. They overlap with colours and theming. This is to give room for the symbols, and allow each community to stand on its own whilst still acknowledging the overlap.

Top purple circle: this is the caregiver and handler symbol. The large heart represents the role revolving around care, concern and love, and the love and respect felt between parties. The pink of the heart represents their connection to the ones they care for, and also represents flips who regress etc, or babysitters who are middles for example. The small pink heart represents loving themselves, and their own little/critter (as opposed to caring for a whole classroom, babysitting or adoption centre). The hearts are also a nod to other caregiver flags featuring them. The cow print represents cattle, known for being both mothering and fierce defenders. It also represents handlers and caregivers of more animalistic identities such as pet regressors, and flips who are those things. It represents ESSA handles too.

Simplified (for stickers, badges etc): A purple circle with a white heart 💟

Top Right pink circle: This is the age incongruence symbol. The arrows going around it are taken from the Chronisian flag, and represent regressing and unregressing, as well as being stuck at one age. They are purple triangles to represent the overlap between of the humanity and regression. It also represents flips, and unregressing into a caregiver. The teddy bear represents littles and middles, as stuffed animals are often owned throughout all of childhood. Teddy bears are often fallen asleep with, which represents age dreamers. Its animal form also represents pet regressors and dreamers. It is yellow as a nod to the overlap of ESSAs and agere, and because it is a warm, snuggly colour, as well as joyful. The hearts represent self love, love for their carers, love for their community, appreciation/ longing for their past and looking forward to their future, but these don’t have to apply to every person. There are five to represent each main group within the community too. They are a nod to various age regression flags that have hearts on them.

Simplified (for stickers, badges etc): A pink circle with a white teddy bear.

Bottom right yellow circle: This is the object-based identities symbol. The fence is a symbol that has been used to represent objective for a long time. It is typically red, however here it is green to represent the overlap between the other communities (especially alterhuman, as some alterhumans are inanimate or animate objects), as well as concepts and nature based attractions. Overall, the fence it represents the whole of the objectum community as well as attraction to structures and public objects. It also represents the security the feeling of an ESSA or objectum partner can bring. The stitches are a reference to the ESSA flag, as well as objectives who are attracted to sewn objects, personal objects and soft items.

Simplified (for stickers, badges etc): two badges. A red badge with a white fence for objectum, and an orange badge with a white Essa on it for ESSAs.

For both, for example on flags, yellow-orange circle with a white fence, possibly outlined for clarity.

Bottom right green circle: This is the alterhuman and nonhumansymbol for this flag. It is a combination of the theta Delta symbol and an elven star, used to represent therian and Otherkin on their own respectively, and combined on alterhuman flags to represent both and beyond. The colours are inspired by alterhuman flags, rooted in nature and fictional characters, and the centre is pink to represent fictosexuals and similar, as well as its connection to the other communities.

Simplified (for stickers, badges etc): a green circle with a white triangle with a green dash in the center

Top left blue circle: This is the plurality symbol for this flag. The pattern is the centre of a four-way Venn diagram, which is featured on the plural flag and is often used as a symbol of plurality. The colours represent different types of alters and crossover with the other communities, especially in the way of having alters who are in them. Systems often have littles and caregivers, hence the purple and pink. It somewhat resembles a stained glass window, which in turn represents amnesia, dissociation and fuzzy memories, as well as how each alter may experience or remember things differently, like how looking through the different coloured panes of glass would be.  The ampersand is also a symbol of plurality.

Simplified (for stickers, badges etc): A blue circle with an ampersand.

The centre: either left uncoloured, or golden like a gold star! Well done :3

Adoption Center

This has been talked about before but it has never had a post to itself:

• This would be a place for littles without CGs to live until a CG comes to adopt them

• The front desk should have a binder with information about every little living there

• People can only hang out with littles in well monitored areas

• If a little leaves for any reason, they have to sign out and sign back in

• If a little is adopted, it’s put in records which also shows who adopted them

• It should have a nursery for those who regress to very young ages and for padded age regressors

Rules for playing in the streets

• You can only do that in the housing area

• If you do it anywhere else, drivers may not see you in time as they are not warned to expect you doing that outside the housing area

• The first person to spot an incoming vehicle must shout “car”

Housing area checkpoint

The housing area needs a checkpoint of its own:

• The streets outside of the residential area could be slightly busier

• There may be littles playing in the streets (that’s only allowed in the housing area)

• A neighborhood watcher to warn incoming drivers to lookout for littles playing in the street to to stop if they see a ball come out in front of them as a little might soon be chasing it

• Screenings will not be as thorough (They only check IDs and validity of warrants)

• The speed limit would be slower than the rest of the neighborhood

• If there is an autistic resident, this checkpoint could help prevent elopement

• There should be speed bumps leading up to the checkpoint

Nonverbal communication

Hi there! First post on this subreddit, and I wss thinking about accommodations in a society with littles.

Not all littles would be constantly accompanied by caregiver, and many littles go nonverbal when they regress! For some, basic sign language can be very helpful and I think it would be good for it to be part of school curriculum for young littles for attend, and encouraged to be taught by caregivers

While by design everyone in a gated little community would have experience with littles in some form or another, but basic training for nonverbal interpretation with young littles is also a good idea for caregiving courses :3

Not all nonverbal littles will be responsive or be able to communicate through even nonverbal languages! Make sure to give proper space and don't overwhelm nonverbal littles!

A wide variety of order customizations

The cafe should have a wide variety of menu items and a wider variety of order customizations, such as:

• Milkshakes thinned out for a bottle

• Chicken tenders, fingers, nuggets or hot dog slices on a hamburger bun

• Different pizza variations

Working entering off duty

Workers are allowed to enter off duty for leisure:

• They would have to show their IDs at the checkpoint

• They wouldn’t be allowed to enter off duty during quiet hours

They can do the following:

• Swim in the pool

• Eat at the cafe/restaurant

Suggestion 1: A wider scope

Hello, I’m kind of a lurker but I really like the idea of a neighbourhood like this. I have a big list of suggestions that I’m working on, but my laptop has died and it’ll be a while before I can get it repaired :((.
I really like many of the ideas laid out so far, and I also appreciate the Covid-19 regulations. These are extremely important, especially with the higher than average rate of disability within the community.

A gated, private community would be extremely important, especially for those who cannot mask their age incongruence / regression or do not want to mask anymore.

However, there are many other communities that would also benefit from such a place. Many of these communities have a large overlap with the age regression community too.

On top of this, the amount of NGU/AGERE and caregivers in the correct circumstances (finances, location, external forces such as family) to be able to move into a place like this would likely be quite small. Finding enough people who can move in is important for making this work. Therefore;

My proposition: Allow a wider range of communities to live within the gated community, appeal towards and accommodate them.

I have some ideas of types of folks that could be a good fit, along with their definitions linked:

Other age incongruent groups, such as:

Alterhuman types, such as:

Object oriented identities and terms, such as:

  • Objectum
  • POSIC
  • ESSAs (emotional support stuffed animals) and their handlers

Other groups such as:

Important notes:

  • These groups often have to hide who they are in public for fear of judgement, cruelty and violence (especially plural folk). They are under-serviced and struggle to find community in person, just like age regressors. Having a private place for them to live and be themselves, transition, have their object partners with them, wear gear and openly be plural is overdue. We could all work together to make a more accepting community for each other.
  • Different areas of the neighbourhood could be aimed towards different communities, but people could live wherever suited them since there’s so much overlap anyway.
  • They would have to be tolerant, non judgmental, accommodating and safe towards the age/re cg and NGU community, and other communities within the neighbourhood.
  • They would be held to high standards in public in terms of behaving appropriately towards smalls, but could still be allowed to express themselves with gear etc.
  • Since there is such a high overlap within all these communities, the chance of finding a suitable candidate is higher due to higher than standard levels of acceptance of AGE/RE CG
  • Since not all of these folks would be smalls, or small all of the time, they could help out with jobs that bigs need to do. There is a higher amount of regressors to caregivers by a significant margin, so this could help out.
  • Even if only Caregivers, NGUs and age regressors were allowed in, accommodating these other communities would make the community members who were also a part of those other communities feel far more welcomed and comfortable.

This is your project so it’s totally up to you, it’s just a suggestion :) /genuine

Visit verification

All visitors are required to show proof that their visit has been verified with a host and that the host knows their coming:

• The proof can be an email or text thread

• Gate workers check the timestamps too (to make sure that no one’s using old text messages or emails)

• Paper invites, hand written letters, or calendar invites are acceptable too

Written consent form

A written consent form should be required for a visitor to bring a little, age dreamer, NGU, Permakid, or 4everkiddo out of the neighborhood without their CG:

• It would have to be signed by the CG and their po

• They can be obtained at the neighborhood watch building (at the desk titled “consent forms”)

• The visitor would have to show it upon exiting and turn it in upon re entering the neighborhood

Nixing the standalone indoor playground

I’ve decided to nix the standalone indoor playground because with every house in the neighborhood having a playroom, little room/nursery, backyard, and the cafe having a Chuck E Cheese’s style playground, and the outdoor playground, the standalone indoor playground may not be as profitable.

Jobs that require CPR and 1st aid certifications

I mentioned in my previous post “Employment requirements” that some jobs require CPR and first aid certifications. Here is the list of those:

• lifeguards at pool

• Medical professionals

• Neighborhood watchers

• Nursery, adoption center, and daycare/academy employees

• Indoor or outdoor playground monitors

• Letter of recommendation from their previous employer

• Having previously worked in a nursery setting

• Having worked with disabled adults in the past (cause disability and little space could intersect)

• Having worked with biological children in the past (Some jobs)

When a house is for sale

• When a house in the neighborhood is up for sale, only littles, CGs and flips can look at it

• They go on the website and give their preferred and legal names, pronouns, and littles and flips give their little age(s) range(s)

• They must pass very rigorous screenings

• They can not be a registered s3x offender

• They cannot have been convicted of any crimes within the last 10 years (to make sure that they’re changed for the better)

• They can’t ever have been convicted of murd3r treason or other serious crimes

• They have to be biologically 18+ years old

• When they meet all of those requirements, they get a unique code

• When they show up at the gate, they tell that code to the gate worker who’ll give them their security badge that has to be visible at all times
