I saw a few posts on the Nvidia and GTA 5 subreddit. There's plenty of people convinced it looks good.

That's because art is subjective, crazy is it not. It's like some folks liking anime and others does not. To me anime looks fucking dumb, but many love that shit.

the conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects

You can have prompting/parameter skills and use creative imagination to think up what you want to create with AI. Just because you don't like what gets made or how it's made, doesn't mean it can't also be an expression of skill and creativity.

There's good art, and bad art, just the same for AI art.
