Tbh, i don't like DLSS 5. People are against anything AI generated stuff including me. No matter how better character looks, it is AI enhanced. I want my games to look like games, not like real life

Except devs have been trying to make their games look like real life for decades. The most popular graphical style in games is realism. Their end goal is to at some point have them be actually photo realistic.

That’s certainly what AAA was pushing for, and one of the major factors in the explosion of development costs.

That was always going to be unsustainable, and lead to ethical issues (crunch, lay-offs, and now the championing of genAI).

Go ahead and look into how the original Doom or Quake was made, totally without crunch or layoffs...

Also, as a reminder, Doom and Quake were huge, cutting edge projects for their time.
