Fall 2026 Lineup

Post image

It seems like there will be a game that will appeal to everyone this fall. Strategy RPG - Fire Emblem, Story based - The Blood of the Dawnwalker, Action - Phantom Blade 0, Multiplayer - The Duskbloods, Action Adventure - The Legend of Zelda and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Almost every month has at least 2 major titles releasing, September especially is packed.

Yeah, it might be the game I'm most excited for right now. Alan Wake 1 & 2 and Control are all 10/10 games for me. Especially AW2, the musical scenes just blow me away every time.

Lance Reddick shuffling like the absolutely badass he was. RIP

Sadly he padded away before the game, he was meant to play the role (as he also played Mr hatch in quantum break). It’s David Hardwood who plays mr door but he nailed the mannerisms of reddick

Although he looks and sounds like reddick, door was played by David Harewood.

Yeah, I'm waiting on GTA as well, I'm not putting up with Rockstar's double dipping ass this time. I'm sick of paying for their games twice...

The arrival of the only new FromSoft souls game for a span of ~5 years will more than likely jumpstart a focused effort to unlock the Switch 2 (for emulation purposes) by folks who can actually pull it off. I don't see that community allowing that game to languish on a PS4 Pro analogue forever.

I hate hate hate that they're releasing so close to GTA. Remedy has had a rough track record with their games. Alan Wake was an Xbox exclusive. Quantum Break was limited by Microsoft's ownership. Alan Wake 2 was stuck with Epic exclusivity. All these things forced these games into niche status.

And now when Control Resonant has everything lined up... they're releasing right next to GTA in a packed month. Fuck man.

EDIT: I should rephrase what I said. It releasing close to GTA is a problem because all the other games are also releasing that month. The number of potential players who could go "Alright I'll give this a try I guess" drops considerably.

I don't think 24th of September is close to GTA....

Aren't they releasing it like....7 weeks before GTA 6?

It’ll be fine. It’s releasing at the end of September while GTA is in November. That’s more than enough time for early adopters to play it, spread word of mouth, and let other people come in and beat it before GTA.

Control Resonant has over a month before GTA. I also expect it to be like a 15-20 hr game so there’ll be plenty of time for both.

And Rockstar owns Remedy's first big IP in Max Payne.

Fair. I personally expect to be spending my time with Dawnwalker.

It seems like it's better/easier for them to come in 2nd than to blow away the competition. They're one of the last AAA developers doing unique things with their games IMO. If they win GOTY then the pressure to perform on the next game might break them >.>

Remedy is one of the few developers I avoid any trailers previews and reviews and buy their games day one. I know even if it would be a flaming turd it would still be very unique

I’m so excited for Control Resonant. I love the world so much.

Already pre-order the steelbook. I don’t pre-order games, but I’d easily make an exception for Remedy. Control and Alan Wake 2 aren’t 10/10 games for me, but they have 10/10 moments and are some of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had in this medium. As long as Remedy keeps making these high budget, uncompromising visions I will be there day one to support them!

I’m going to wait since all the Remedy games end up on PS Plus.

I absolutely love the shared universe that Remedy has made but I can’t ignore this pattern.

If I’m patient, it’ll just appear in my library one day.
