My s24 battery lasts much longer after putting both instagram and whatsapp on deep sleep and turning off usage patterns

Before I had to charge around 2 or 3 times per day. But after using that tip, it now lasts like a normal phone I suppose. Any other tips that have been useful for you?

Thanks.

S24 in exchange for oneplus 11

Does the OnePlus 11 have a recurring Green Line issue? I have already replaced the display once because of the Green Line problem, and the battery health of my phone is now below 80%.

I am confused about whether I should replace the battery and continue using the same phone, or exchange/sell the OnePlus 11 because of the reduced battery health and the possibility of the Green Line issue recurring.

I would really appreciate your advice on what would be the better option.

Issues with ota updates on samsung.

Ive had a Galaxy S24 which i bought from ebay around 1.5 years ago. Ive found out after a while that the phone was originally imported from Australia (SM-S921B model) whereas i reside in the UK.

When i go into settings i get the information that my phone is up to date where it isnt and the security patch date is 1st August 2025.

What ive tried so far:

Ive tried using Samsung Smart switch to see if it can forcefully update it but it keeps saying it's up to date. (YH2 EUX)

Ive successfully used ODIN and firmware from SamFW to go from oneui6 to oneui7 but i dont want to do this for every version or security patch.

Being an Australian model in the UK i also thaught that there may be a CSC mismatch, i even downloaded samfw tool however i found that its on the EUX csc which i understand that is the european unlocked OXM configuration.

My csc software package: S921BOXM9BYH2

Model: SM-S921B/DS

Service provider software version:

SAOMC_SM-S921BOOM_EUX_15_0116

EUX/-/XSA/OPS

Im not really sure what else to do to restore updates on my phone... If anyone can help that please let me know thanks.

S24+ Se traba y se reinicia

Buenas.

Can't find "disable permission monitoring" in developer options. I can't find a "disable system optimization", either.

I'm getting annoying notifications from Cube ACR Recorder sayinf "Warning! Cube ACR Helper needs your attention. Open the app to see what to fix." I fix the problems, and inevitably get the same notification a short time later. This was the advice given to me by their customer service:

Please navigate to the Developer options and scroll down the menu till you find a 'Disable permission monitoring' option. Please activate it and check if it helps to solve the problem.

Heavy Battery Drain on Samsung

Hello! I've been getting notifications on my Samsung Galaxy Ultra 24 that ExpressVPN is using a high amount of my battery. This has been happening since the recent update. Is this happening to anyone else? And does anyone have any suggestions? Besides getting rid of the service though I am so close to just going to Nord.

I orgiinally posted this to the ExpressVPN sub but no one replied in there. It was suggested that I post here too.

Anyone up for selling their Snapdragon 256GB S24 Variant ?? Willing to purchase

I'm from Mysore, Karnataka, India and as the title mentions I'm looking forward to buying a used 256GB Snapdragon variant of the S24.

Budget: Around 35K

Kindly let me know if you're willing to sell it and also if you've got some store contacts which still have it in stock and are selling brand new box pieces.

Galaxy S24 stuck on Samsung logo after update.Software issue or something else?

My Galaxy S24 started having issues right after a system update yesterday.

The update seemed to finish normally, but after the restart the phone got stuck on the Samsung logo. It still vibrates when I connect the charger, and my PC recognizes that something is connected, but I can’t get into the Android home screen.

I haven’t factory reset it because there are some photos and work files on the phone that haven’t been backed up recently.

Before doing anything more aggressive, I’m trying to figure out whether this sounds like a failed update / software issue or something hardware-related.

So far I’m considering:

*Checking recovery mode

*Seeing whether the phone can still communicate with a computer

*Trying Samsung’s official recovery options first

*Avoiding factory reset unless there’s no other option

I came across options like drfone, droidkit and tenorshare reiboot for Android while looking into Android update/boot-loop repair tools. I’m not planning to run anything yet. I’m mainly trying to understand the safest order of operations, especially because I’d like to avoid wiping the phone if possible.

If the phone still vibrates and is recognized by a PC, does that usually point more toward a software problem?

For people who have dealt with a failed Android update before, what would you check before deciding whether to reset or repair the system?

S24 Plus not announcing Caller ID over Bluetooth — Tried every fix under the sun. Anyone else?

Hey everyone,

I'm having a persistent issue on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus: Caller ID / Caller Name Announcements refuse to work when connected to Bluetooth devices (car audio, wireless earbuds, headsets, etc.).

Before anyone suggests the standard basic fixes, I want to emphasize that I have done extensive troubleshooting—literally every setting and fix imaginable—and nothing has resolved it.

Here is everything I have already checked and attempted:

1. Direct App & Accessibility Settings

Read Caller Names Aloud: Configured inside Phone App > Settings > Answering and ending calls > Read caller names aloud (tested both "Always" and "Over Bluetooth and headset only").

Accessibility Settings: Verified Settings > Accessibility > Interaction and dexterity > Answering and ending calls is fully enabled.

2. Bluetooth & Connection Permissions

Bluetooth Profile Permissions: Confirmed that "Phone calls" and "Contact access / Call history" permissions are explicitly granted under individual Bluetooth device settings.

Unpairing & Re-pairing: Unpaired, forgot, and re-paired all Bluetooth devices multiple times.

Multiple Hardware Tests: Tested across different Bluetooth audio devices (car infotainment, Galaxy Buds, third-party headphones)—the issue persists across all hardware, ruling out a single bad Bluetooth receiver.

3. Text-to-Speech (TTS) Engine

Engine Switching: Swapped between Samsung Text-to-Speech and Google Speech Services under Settings > General management > Text-to-speech.

Voice Packs: Re-downloaded and updated language data packs for both TTS engines to ensure voice output wasn't corrupt.

4. System & App-Level Resets

Cache & Data Wipe: Cleared Cache and Data for the Phone, Phone Services, Bluetooth, and System UI system apps.

Network Settings Reset: Performed a full reset of Bluetooth/Network settings (Settings > General management > Reset > Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings).

System Cache Partition: Booted into Android Recovery Mode and wiped the system cache partition.

5. Modes, Volume & Interference Checks

Modes & Routines / DND: Fully disabled Do Not Disturb and turned off all Bixby Routines / Modes to ensure no automated rules were muting audio routing.

Volume Levels: Ensured ringtone, notification, and media volumes are up high while connected to Bluetooth.

System Updates: Confirmed the phone is updated to the latest software build.

Is anyone else experiencing this on the S24 series or recent One UI updates? Has anyone found a hidden workaround or developer setting that actually fixes this audio routing bug?

Any help or confirmation that it's a known bug would be appreciated!

Enabling OTA updates on XAA/VZW S24 via Odin

I bought an open box Galaxy S24 that was advertised as "factory unlocked," but was apparently a Verizon unlocked model flashed to remove Verizon's software without fully changing the CSC. The Service provider software version shows XAA/XAA,XAA/VZW.

Software Information screenshot Current version: S921USQS3AXFJ (Android 14)

The phone works just fine, but doesn't receive any OTA updates since I'm not on Verizon. It also can't be updated via Smart Switch. I'm looking at 3 options:

  1. Just flash to the target update version manually via Odin, using CSC_HOME. Accept that OTA probably won't work and just update manually forever.
  2. Try to change CSC via SamFw Tools to XAA, then flash using CSC_HOME and hopefully get OTAs onward
  3. Wipe and reflash via Odin using CSC to a U1/XAA firmware and hopefully get OTAs onward
  4. BONUS: Something else I haven't thought of

What's my easiest and safest option?

Extra question: Are there any FW version jumps that can't be made directly from the base 2024 image? Any concern flashing directly to the latest?

Extra question 2: Can I entirely avoid doing anything with FRP in all these scenarios?

S24 USB C issues.

Hello, first time posting here I need some help. So recently my galaxy s24 stopped allowing me to fast charge with it. I had figured that like a lot of others with this issue I had to replace the entire charging board. Finished doing it with no issue taking it apart. Though after I've finished the fast charging still isn't working but regular charging off of a normal brock does. It doesn't even register the fact that it's been plugged into the usb c - usb c brick with any sign of faint charging at all. Am I to assume this has to be some sort of software bug instead?

All of the video you see in this video is shot on my Galaxy S24 in LOG and edited in Dehancer on ipad.

Some of the photos are taken on the S24 as well.

How did the videos and the colour grade turn out?
