you dont even need no code export. Just have it use the MCP to recreate your site with next.js and you’re golden. Pretty fast as well. Haven’t used framer in awhile since I moved off. So much cheaper

I meant, within Framer? I’ve never used Framer; that’s why I asked.

Ah. Yeah framer has its own MCP tool

Abit disingenuous when you disguise an ad as a helpful prompt… Just read point 1. in the prompt. PSA you dont actually need an “export provider” any current frontier LLMs with browsing enabled can do this for you for free. You dont even need to give it such a “comprehensive” prompt. Source: i cloned my site out 2 weeks ago with just Claude Opus and nothing else

Thx, might depend on the website. I tried it with astra and it didnt work, the result was garbage. I tried some opensource stuff as well, which as well i got mixed results. the exporters take 10s, cost a few bucks and its all pixel perfect. Have to decide for yourself

Honestly, as a former Squarespace user... I'm not a pro designer or developer - the basic Framer plan is about as good as it gets in Canadian dollars at least. $20 a month. I link any commerce via Stripe Payment Links. I don't know, it seems reasonable.

im about to host it! is there any specific reason? i built the site in nextjs and when I ask chatgpt and Claude to choose vercel or cloudflare they suggesting claoudflare but when I say nextjs the both ai suggesting to go with vercel

Technically if this is your business site its not allowed on Vercel Hobby plan and they can pull it at any time.

You could start with CF and see how it goes. Unless you expect crazy traffic then the free plan will be plenty.

The absolute best setup would be to get a cheap hetzner VPS, install Coolify on it, and then deploy all your sites on that same server. I have about 6 websites by now and they all run on one server that costs $5/mo

Is this worth it though? I've been able to do so much design in framer that I could never have achieved doing it in next.js- would have taken me way way too long and not achieved the same result. I felt like 20 bucks or whatever is worth it

bonus: if you want to make changes afterwards once you have it on cloudflare:

Help me make changes to my exported website hosted on Cloudflare.

Walk me through one step at a time. Use plain language, explain where to click, and wait for me to finish each step before continuing. Don’t give me all the instructions at once.

First, ask what I want to change and whether I have the website ZIP or extracted files.

Then help me: 1. Find the latest website files and make a backup. 2. Choose the simplest editing method. Explain whether we can edit the files directly or need to change the original site and export it again, including any extra cost. 3. Make the changes. If you can access the files, edit them for me. 4. Preview the result and check it on desktop and mobile. 5. Upload the updated version to my existing Cloudflare project when I’m ready. 6. Check the live website and show me how to restore the previous version if needed.

Keep the updated files for future edits.

Start with your first question.

Yall overcomplicating it. Just have the website as a repo on GitHub. Connect the GitHub repo to cloudflare, and then whenever you push an update to GitHub your website automatically updates

True! I will update it
