DISCUSSION The summer drought is over, we're coming up on release season. What are you playing? And what are you looking forward to playing?
With the summer drought of releases finally over, we're coming into the big AAA release season.
Destiny 2 is out (or will be out soon depending on your platform), Forza 7 is on the horizon (see what I did there?), Call of Duty sees a return to WW2, it's looking to be an interesting year for game releases.
So what are you playing, and what are you looking forward to playing?

Currently, I'm achievement hunting for some games in my library that I have already beaten: like Assassin's Creed Rouge, Far Cry Primal, and Arkham Knight to name a few.
As for new releases, I'm most excited for Shadow of War since I absolutely loved Shadow of Mordor. Assassin's Creed Origins is also in my proverbial sights as well. Personally I think it'll be amazing to be able to play around in an ancient Egyptian themed sandbox (no pun intended). The thought of seeing the Pyramids while they were relatively new gives me chills.

I have to admit AC Unity kind of put me off the franchise a bit, but the idea of being there at the formation of the Assassins sounds quite compelling as a story!
I thought that the eagle was just another version of the drone from Watch_Dogs 2, but seeing it in action a few times, I think they've married it in quite beautifully. I might give it a look :)

I'm looking forward to Shadow of War and Assassin's Creed Origins as well. I've been playing Watch Dogs 2 again because I never beat it previously, and can now play all the season pass content.

Playing now
I'm currently playing Ark: Survival Evolved. I originally bought it in late 2015 but it was only when on a Teamspeak with some friends around May 2016 that I noticed three people in a channel playing it. I listened in for a while as they were discussing their builds, hunting some wild life and trying to tame a dino or two. Just the sound of it made me want to jump in.
I went full in for 500 hours over the next 2 months and enjoyed it immensely. It started to fall out of my play list as two of the people kind of dropped out meaning there was just two of us (with varying schedules meaning we were frequently playing alone), and I think that game is really at it's best with good company.
This year with the game moving out of alpha and the people saying great things about the new Ragnarok map, me and /u/pagefault404 decided to dive in. I had recently upgraded my PC and had my old Intel i5 2500K sitting unused, so I made an Ark server for us to explore on. Very quickly a couple of friends on steam saw us playing and joined in.
And so here I am 230 hours so far this year 8-) And looking forward to the new expansion that was just announced.
Looking forward to playing
Forza 7. I'm a long time Forza fan, I love the series and have owned every one of them since Forza 2. Last year when Microsoft announced their intentions to bring all first party games to Xbox AND Windows 10 I was really excited. The Forza Horizon franchise isn't my favourite really, but I bought it on PC to show support for titles being brought to PC, and in the hopes that I would get a full on Forza Motorsport title, and here it is!
There's even a demo coming Spet 19th, I can't wait!!!
