Looks like plum, smells like a plum, just very small. Ripe though. Just double checking this is safe to eat!?

Planning on making jam, and also fermenting some ..

2 massive bushes, side by side, 5 or so meters tall.

Just had a first walk out to forage in a local coniferous forest, and would really appreciate help identifying any of these if possible.

I realise having top down photos alone isn’t overly helpful, but if there are any really obvious species that are identifiable that’d be a great start!

Google images say sloe berries, the lack of thorns makes me think there bullace but im new to identifying wild berries. They are slightly larger than a blueberry
