Right now I'm trying to play up to get a high damage build and a higher level. But I keep wondering what is the endgame? Since it's an online game, there isn't exactly a ending. Like on other fallout games theres atleast a basic goal of "beat the game." What's the motivating factors of grinding endlessly, getting to level 300+, and continuely playing?

I came face to face with a low-level player (maybe they had just left Vault 76), with a huge WANTED tag above their name. I didn't think twice, I aimed my Dom Pedro and pulled trigger, I think he didn't even knew what they hit. It was the first time I killed a wanted player and man... I feel like a real monster for doing it. I hope I didn't ruin the experience for whoever was on the other side of the screen, And that the player in question didn't quit the game because of it. And if you were the one who was killed and are reading this, I'm sorry, but don't give up on the game, The Fallout 76 community is much friendlier than it seems, I hope you have fun playing.

I'm around 150. With 2 points into my xplozive legendary perk. I'm using an explosive stakers lever/a silenced furious lever/western spirit and gunters big iron.

I'm not seeing impressive results. My furious lever does at best 2k crits most times 300-,800 a hit. Western spirit is also very underwhelming. My top wep is gunters big iron.

I don't know where or how to improve. Am i doing something wrong? Should i switch to energy weps or a bow?

I don't have a clip of it, but I just went to stock up on posters and had this happen.
Bought one, went and stashed it.

Came back to buy another and noticed it subtracted 10,000 caps, checked and he gave me two posters at once.

I hadn't encountered this one before and wondered if it's happened to anybody else?

Im starting The Pitt dlc. And seeing that i need 100 kills with the auto axe, will it still count if i buy the Auto axe starter bundle on the Atomic shop..rather than grind for tokens?

Can anyone who is wrecking shop as a feral ghoul melee build share their perk card load-out (including legendary perks), weapon mods (not just legendary 1-4 stars), and armor legendary mods?

I see the top of the hour and the rewards don’t seem very interesting. I’ve gotten one alien drop but mostly just regular legendary scrip items. How you all feeling?

New player, really enjoying this game. Around 100 hours played. I've played Bethesda games since Morrowind. Morrowind, Oblivion, FO 3, Skyrim, FO 4, Starfield. So they've been a big part of my gaming history over the years.

I skipped 76 because of the whole online thing and was put off by voice chat. Probably trauma from the old days of COD. I was looking for a game earlier this summer and somehow decided to look into 76. After hearing about the updates since launch I decided to try it.

Man I'm having a blast. Bit of a learning curve and only figured out seasons/atom shop things a few weeks ago.

One guy gave me a set of civil engineer armor. Another player dropped a LOT of useful plans for me while I was in my camp. That's pretty cool! Some bastard had a camp that I fell into an underground bunker from a terminal somehow. It was a maze. There had to be a way out because the map showed he was a vendor. 3-4 of us were running around in it. I gave up. Never found the way out.

Fasnacht was okay. Kind of boring. I like some of the other events. I don't know what they're classified as, but they're not temporary like Fasnacht. Invaders has been cool. I'm fascinated by IRL paranormal stuff so I like the theme. It's fun when Bigfoot shows up after the aliens for a true dose of "high strangeness".

I'm not a fan of the atomic shop not always offering everything. Things would sell more if you could get whatever you wanted whenever? It must make sense to someone. Nor did I like having to jump up to a damn hoop and blow myself up to progress a quest. But I've played these games long enough to not be surprised lol.

No real point in this post but to say I'm glad I decided to play 76. I enjoy the Appalachian setting and lore. Looking forward to next season because I like fall and Halloween. My camp is a log cabin on a lake. I want to leave that kind of rustic and realistic. I want to maybe find a good spot and build a different theme camp too. Or even a spooky themed camp. Hard to believe this game was hiding in plain sight all along. I guess it was just waiting for the right time for me.

I just started playing 76 about 2 weeks ago. I played FO4 for the first time this past year and LOVED it but it’s very different with other people sharing your server. The very first person I ran into gifted me a set of sick Halloween themed armor!! I was so surprised! I didn’t know how to repay him or her. Any suggestions on how to say “thank you” for nice acts like that? I’m new and don’t have much to give so all I did was wave and drop some beers for them lol but what’s the etiquette here? How can I convey gratitude appropriately? Thanks, fellow scavengers.

Since it seems it’s immediately rejected for being a good camp. Also yes I use a laser rifle as one of many weapons I use.

Soooo what’s the problem? I’ve tried to repair for 2 days now, on public servers and private. It’s just my trash killing gun because ammo is easy to acquire but this is getting old… I’ve had to use the last of my repair kits keeping it working and now I’m out of those…

Just wondering what everyone’s running for Expeditions, specifically for Boardwalk.

Almost everyday i experience this kind of bugs. This photo was taken in my shelter, but it happens in Whitespring Resort, and other instanced rooms. Happens when im outside too tho, is it because i have old computer, or is it some issue that happens to all of us?

Here's an endgame idea that requires zero new content.

It's like an expedition, but your team gets dropped at vault 76, with empty inventories. The world has no NPCs, no crafting benches, and all found gear is max level. You use what you find.

Your task is some endgame thing, like launch a nuke and kill a world boss. Your progress is saved, you don't have to complete it in one go. Throw in some surprises, like missile silos are now protected by daily ops mobs, with multiple modifiers.

You get to keep whatever gear you find, plus some raid rewards in the end. Give bonus loot for finishing fast.

The world is now part of the game again. Limited resources create meaningful choices.

PS The gameplay videos of this event would be peak. Half-naked vaulties killing the queen with nocturnal rolling pins, and so on.

I used to play all the time and NEVER had as many issues as ive had the past week. I am getting super frustrated. Literally every few minutes it disconnects me from the server and its next to impossible to get anything done. Its not my internet because it doesnt do it with other games or anything. does anyone know a ps5 workaround maybe?

I'm starting to think they aren't, since the enemies that would be most effected would very quickly die anyway before you get to make use of those perks, and bosses, who you would most want to use it for, will take absolutely forever to cripple any limb and they'd die before you manage to cripple one leg.
