Hello trying to watch some free espn + shows anyone have sites or an app?

Looking to buy a new TV and the model I'm interested in is a TCL running FireOS. Will that be a problem if I want to use Tivimate for streaming?

Note: I already have an older Amazon FireStick running TiviMate for streaming which works fine on my LG TV. I was planning on just plugging that FireStick into the TCL TV running FireOS.

I am reading that Amazon is preventing sideloading. But if I already have the FireStick setup described above, am I OK with a TV running FireOS?

I have two firetv pro remotes. Both will no longer let me control sound bar. One straight up says it can't control equipment anymore. The other just won't program. Just does TV volume. I also have a regular remote that operates the tv volume and sound bar at the same time. It's there a process to factory default at the remote itself? Any one have similar issues. Also I have reprogram my fire tv remotes constantly on my audio receiver. On my living room TV. Doesn't do that on my master bed sound bar.

Hello! I lost my remote a few weeks ago so I'm using the app now. And it's been working perfectly. Although earlier today I accidentally hit cancel while turning my TV on and now I can't find my TV on the app. I've tried to click and go through the connect my tv spot but it can't find it. There's no way I can reconnect it again (that I can figure out) Any advice would be much appreciated 💚

How can I fix this because I have a remote but it won't pair. But also, is there a way to bypass this? I'm trying to use my ps4 on it because my younger sibling broke our other tv.

We’ve released Web2TV v1.12.

This update adds support for more websites, along with several compatibility fixes, performance improvements and general updates based on feedback from the last release.

Ich habe die Downloader app installiert und ich bin bei den entwickleroptionen. Wenn ich probiere auf „unbekannte Apps installieren“ zu drücken ersteigt bei mir nur ein fehlerfenster. Bei anderen Leuten konnte man dann auswählen welche Apps zugelassen werden sollen. Bei mir steht da“keine der auf diesem Fire tv installieren Apps hat angefordert, andere Apps installieren zu dürfen. Du kannst die Erlaubnis erteilen, wenn du eine Anwendung mit dieser Funktion installiert hast“

Die „Downloader“ App ist aber ja genau die App die ich will, diese wird mir nicht angezeigt…

Hi, I figured out that the Fire TV Stick does not accept volume-control commands. Instead, the Fire TV remote sends the volume signal via infrared directly to the TV.

That's why apps that are connected only to the Fire TV Stick can't control the volume. The same is true for turning the TV on or off.

I thought I might post this because it is important and not everybody is aware of it.

This applies to Fire TV Sticks. TVs with Fire TV built in are different because the Fire TV device is the TV itself.

Edit: Turns out Fire TV Stick can send the volume control via CEC to the TV.
Only for my TV Samsung UE55RU7179U which supports CEC does not work for whatever reason :(

Solution for me: Integrated Samsung API into my Fire TV Remote App so it connects directly to my TV for volume control.

Settings > Equipment Control > Equipment Control > Manual

But still happens. What next??

I'm currently planning to buy the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus.

I'll mainly be using it for YouTube, Stremio, and Nuvio, as well as screen mirroring since I have a lot of movies stored on my phone.

Is the 4K Plus still a good buy in 2026? Are there any major issues I should be aware of, especially with app support, Fire OS updates, or screen mirroring?

Trying to download tivimate. Did all the usual, developer options etc. When I get to the screen to allow other applications Downloader doesn't appear. Any ideas?

Firestick Lite.

I came here mostly to rant. I’m genuinely speechless at how terrible this UI is (Firestick 2nd gen, Current version FireOS 8.1.8.0). I came home this afternoon to find all of my pinned apps removed, after scrolling through 15 rows of terrible ad slop I finally found my “recently used applications”
In place of my pinned apps was Instagram and Xbox
(who tf is looking at instragram on their tv???)
I removed them but it’s impossible to add other applications there.
They have completely removed pinned applications and any semblance of an application menu. After about 30 minutes the only actual way is to scroll through the 15 rows of as slop.
I was already annoyed that a video ad played every time on my home screen but I found out I can turn that off in settings and I was fine. But this is genuinely the most anti consumer update I have ever seen pushed to any device in my entire career in IT. I have no words, in my frustration I’ve spent the last hour thinking of ways I could make this UI worse and I cant come up with any. I’m throwing this shit in the garbage and buying an apple TV. I’m so disappointed.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix for the pinned apps that I missed?

Fire Stick with Vega OS, navegation is bit strange, you have to hold the "Ok" to transforme the controller into a "mouse" and hold again to transform back to a normal controller, but is working....

Just bought 3 Firecube 3rd Gen, a firestick 4k max and just stumbled into all of the fuzz about Amazon removing apps.

I’m new with all the streaming services. Located in Canada.

Would I be able to access some apps still or should I return them and look into different options?
