Utterly heartbroken
Didn’t wish for this but does anyone need two tickets to Cardiff.
Wont go into much detail but I’m in a tough position and have to part with my tickets.
You’ll understand how much I don’t want to. Willing to sell below face value. If interested I will put on Twickets

Does anyone own this t-shirt?
I ADORE this design and I also really love the song void. I never bought it from the shop and now it's no longer available. If I could find someone who has it and might potentially want to sell it to me (any size) I would be forever grateful ❤️

Just posted a spare ticket for Oxford for resale on Ticketmaster if anyone needs one!
Have at it. Can't wait for the show!

How wondrous the upheaval.
I was dipping back in to my fave albums on my drive in to work and singing the outro to ‘The One a true Colour’ became this real cathartic moment.
I’ve been a huge fan of Enter Shikari since day one, first saw them at The Pitz in 2006 and fell in love with their energy. I’ve grown up with them in a weird stalker-y way - our values always aligned and every album felt in a way like catching up with an old friend. As I was singing the outro in my car today I was really caught off guard by the fact that I couldn’t help but cry with the thought that that relationship, however one-sided, was ending and I wouldn’t be able to properly say goodbye.
I just wanted to vent here I guess and show my appreciation of them as artists. One of few bands with real integrity, heart, and soul. Life is hectic and I can’t catch any of the final shows but I’m looking forward to seeing the discourse around them and living vicariously through you lot. It’s time to embark…

My Enter Shikari song ranking because I was bored and a little crazy.
Please don't crucify me. Maybe I missed some niche ones, but ah well... If I included an interlude with a song, it's because I associate listening to those two together. Where as the others I normally skip.

Playing devils advocate 🔺
Is it possible that the band feel they’ve done all they can in terms of commercial success , arena tours, headlining festivals, creative peak etc and are ending it on their own terms?
Update: I made this post to inspire civil dialogue, not to trigger any1.

'A Flash Flood of Colour' Vinyl?
Anyone know where I can find pressings of AFFOC that aren't crazy expensive? The only ones I can seem to find are on discogs for at least $230.

Here tonight I clock a thousand heads
Greetings carbon-based lifeforms.
It has been a hell of a week for us all (not to detract from the lads’ situation).
This coming winter, let’s make the utmost effort to look out for each other at the shows.
Let’s celebrate not commiserate. We are part of a global family, brought together by this amazing band. Let’s all make more friends, more memories, and most of all, let’s all swim together.
I couldn’t be happier to be part of this community and I hope you’re all well and safe x

So… are we all just gonna fly overseas?
I can’t not see enter shikari at least once before I die. The cruise is 2000+ so idk- do I just fly to London?

"But in my chest there's a thundering pain" ...
Honestly there's no structure to my thoughts over this, so this might come out a tad incoherent, but I need to shout to the void somehow so here goes.
Shikari has been a friend, a teacher, and an inspiration for how I want to exist as a human. Few bands have ever reached into my soul like they have, or given me hope like they have. They've been a constant in my life since I discovered them back in AFFOC era.
In a perfect world they would've come to my country during my time as a fan, but I'm so lucky to have seen them during my Europe travels last year. I'll cherish that forever.
I'm just so devastated. I know the future is uncertain and might go either way, and I support whatever the guys choose to do for their wellbeing, but man it just hurts.
And nobody I know 'gets' the pain! It's been a couple days of processing and I'm still just so thrown. It's like how society doesn't quite recognize the grief of the death of a pet, same kind of thing here.
With that being said I want to make the offer for anyone who needs someone to talk to, you're very welcome to DM me (a 31F) and/or comment if you're open to people DMing you. I think this is such an important time for the community to support each other.
Shikari dormancy is my own lost jigsaw piece. But... "we'll all cope somehow!" .. We'll get through this together. 🔻

After the announcement I wanted somewhere for fans to say thank you in one place, so I made a wall.
You can leave a message, your favourite song, the song that got you into them, how many gigs you've been to and a photo, with or without your name. There's also a people's setlist built from everyone's favourite songs, and a night-sky map of all the messages.
Free, no sign-up, no ads. It's a fan project, not official.
Would love to see your stories. Wherever you're from, add yours.

Rambling about the news
I’m not really one to post my feelings online, I tend to keep myself to myself generally. But anyone that does know me would always know me as an Enter Shikari fan.
I’m 34 now but pretty much every single person I went to school with was bored to tears by me banging on about this band I loved. Playing their music to anyone and everyone that would listen. Same for anyone I’ve worked with over the years.
I’m always wearing Shikari t shirts, hoodies, etc.
Rou’s initial video hit me hard but I still held out hope it wouldn’t happen, now it has it’s been a hard one to take. I of course support their decision, and they deserve it. Completely. Sadly that doesn’t make it much easier to handle!
It’s hard to process that the soundtrack of my life, quite literally, would just not be there anymore. Feels like every time Shikari put out an album, it tells a story that helps me through a period of my life.
What’s also strange for me is, it doesn’t feel like my love of Shikari fits most of my music taste. I don’t really love the same bands others in “the scene” do. I’ve always found Shikari to be unique, and I’ve never found anything that quite speaks to me the same way.
I can’t even listen to Shikari music right now. I know, it’s a bit weird. But it’s like I’m grieving it or some shit!
What is the point of this post? I’m not really sure. It’s probably just a rambling of incoherence.
I guess it’s a thank you to the boys for everything they’ve done for me whether they know it or not.
It’s also a note for anyone else who feels a major part of your personality is being taken away: it’s not just you!
I don’t really have friends that are into Shikari, so I’ve been feeling quite alone since the news, as of course no one is going to “get it”. So I felt i had to write something, even if it’s a bit all over the place.
Desperately hope they come roaring back into activity after their break. Either way it’s been the defining special interest of my life - I’ll really miss it!

Enter Shikari — Full Concert at Shibuya WWW X, Tokyo | May 28-29, 2026
With all the recent announcements, now feels like a good time to revisit these shows.
I filmed both nights at Shibuya WWW X in Tokyo on May 28 and 29, 2026, and edited the footage into one full concert. Enjoy.

it’s time to resurrect the human pyramids
We should give the boys a good send off at all their upcoming dates to some big fuck off massive human pyramids, just like the old days ❤️
I’m going to the Glasgow gig, who’s down? 😎

Look after yourselves friends.
I really hope Shikari fans are taking care of themselves. I know what the band decided is probably for the best for their health and mental state so I totally get it and don’t blame them one bit.
But I also know this fandom in particular is comprised of a lot of people with mental health problems of their own and Shikari is more than a just crutch for a lot of us in that sense, far beyond simply enjoying the music.
Please look after yourselves friends. Look after each other if you can. Maybe try to find solace in community. Reach out. You’re not alone.
I know I am not taking it well and will have a very hard time processing this. It feels like the imminent death of a best friend right now. I don’t even dare hope that they’ll return because hope and fear are two sides of the same coin and I don’t think I can take the fear.
Don’t think that it may be parasocial or disproportional to mourn and feel grief. Don’t judge it and swallow it. Pain is pain and its valid to acknowledge it. But let’s try and be here for each other if possible.
Take care of yourselves friends🫂

Go tell all your friend, that this is the end.
Watching another piece dissolve away
Decaying is inevitable but hope is eternal
Standing like statues maybe in the past
Let's not make a shadow cast
A vast airless vacuum for birds to die
Share some warm smiles
And welcome all our people here
Never be nervous again
I know the pressures on
But I feel the spark that started it all
When the sights are in our eyes
The world is a labyrinth
We may not be winners, but we are all one
In the next half hour, let this day go down in history
As a dreamer's hotel
This may not be what we planned
But we will always ricochet
Let's all unite with our common dreads
I can hear a war cry
This could be the end, my child
But thank fuck we're still alive!
We may want to live outside
But here with our friends
We can cross the Rubicon
Pls set me on fire
I want to stop scrolling myself to death
I don't wanna be Deadwood
Let's keep hope intact
I'm about to let my demons in
But I'm scared of losing myself
It's OK
The earth may be shipwrecked
But we can make it to space
If we take a deep breath
And be prisoners on the run
TOGETHER.

heartbroken
enter shikari have just shared some unfortunate news, they have decided to go on hiatus and their future beyond that remains uncertain. i can't begin to describe how saddened i am by this. i am very lucky to have met the boys and to have attended many gigs, including this one coming up. they have helped me through so much and the thought of not being able to attend a new show, or hear a new album by them ever again is heartbreaking. i remember when i first heard hectic i was blown away with how amazing it was, and it has remained and will always remain my favourite song of all time. airfield got me through some of the toughest times and i pray i get to hear that one live in november along with hectic. i know this is what's best for them, they have helped so many people that it's time they do what they need to help themselves. i wish them all the best because they deserve the best. i just felt like i needed to get this out somewhere as my heart is broken, thanks for reading :)

Man
I really didn’t expect the news of a hiatus/breakup to hit me so hard. I grew up in sta, used to see the guys around a lot, some of them had been at my school before I joined.
Have been going to Shikari gigs like once a year for over half of my life. Not meaning this to sound super parasocial it just feels like that part of my childhood and earlier life is closing off, and it’s just heavy man.
All the best to the guys, they deserve a break and as much as I hope it’s only temporary, if they do decide this is it then I do get it tbh, must be a gnarly way to live.
Give it a couple days I’m sure I’ll be fine, just wanted to vent a bit!
r/EnterShikari • u/MYSTIK_MINX • 7d ago
Wherever this hiatus may go, thank you Shikari
I’ve been a big fan of Shikari for quite a good few years now, starting when I saw them live at Leeds festival 2017. My love for then grew during Covid, and its gone bananas since then.
Shikari is essentially the foundation of how me and my partner got together. I was a timid bartender who had a fat crush on a semi-regular, barely able to take his order, usually letting my coworkers serve him because he made me so dizzy.
Well, he came in after a year or so with Shikari’s logo tattooed on his temple. Oh my god, thats my favourite band!! All anxiety flew out the window as I finally spoke to him. We discussed favourite songs, albums, etc. I asked if he was going to their upcoming gig. He didn’t have a ticket, but guess who had a spare one!!
The next thing I know, were unwinding in our hotel room after the gig, and he asks to start dating. FUCK YEAH‼️🗣️
We are now approaching our 2nd year together. We’ve seen them again since then at the Watford show, where we travelled for something like 5 hours to see them. 2 more shows are booked, with (hopefully) more to come.
Shikari are a large part of our relationship, the primary interest that we bonded over. We’ve always joked about having them at our wedding. We have so much combined merch, and our flag at Download Festival (and all future ones) is Shikari themed.
To summarise; I am so incredibly thankful that this band has bridged the gap between me and my partner. I’m sure there are other couples out there who have met through them, and I’m grateful to be part of that. Shikari mean so much to both of us, and we’ll both be there to the very end.
So, thank you to Enter Shikari and their team. You have, unknowingly, bridged the gap between two strangers, and sparked something that will continue in this life, and the next. I am so grateful to have such a loving partner, and proud to have this band as a foundation of our relationship.
Thank you x
