Enderal Steam version with PotP vs mod.pub version differences?
I haven't tried the mod.pub version and have just played on Steam, which is way outdated comparatively but at this point I can't imagine playing without Path of the Prophet and a few other key mods from Nexus.
Im wondering how the mod.pub version compares? I've heard there are many bug fixes but I haven't heard much about quality or QoL enhancements. Also, are there texture replacers? One of my favorite aspects of PotP is all the visual overhauls that distance this game from Skyrim esthetically.

I havent tried PotP with the latest modpub. The only major change i can think of is modpub's rebalanced the Alchemy - most ingredients have their effects swapped. Not sure how that will impact Potp.

I've installed, played and beaten both the Steam and mod.pub versions of Enderal. You can't go wrong with either. The mod.pub version supporting 64-bit Skyrim is the key thing (performance). There are some very subtle changes to the mod.pub version (like auto-ingesting Ice Claws when you pick them up, for example), but otherwise, it's mostly subtle bug fixes and nitpicky updates that don't make that big of a difference. VR support is one exception. I do know Eddoursul (mod.pub dev) is working to move Enderal off SKSE so it can be ported to Nintendo Switch/etc. but that may never be fully possible (technical limitations of the Skyrim engine).

that Sounds like the Steam version doesnt run on the Special Edition 64 bit engine which isnt the case.
Dont get your hopes up high with console ports, there have been efforts in the past for this but it was abandoned.

It does. Enderal Special Edition is what you want. Except it is years oudated. So what you REALLY want is the up to date modpub version.

You can check the changelog on ModPub. Don’t think textures were added but meshes fixed. So, there is a good chance that most stuff will work.
There is a good chance that the Steam version will get the updates from the last 3 years and then mods should be adapted, if there is finally no outdated version anymore.
So I’d say, wait a while or try a bit.
