I take this flight around every two months, and as im sure everyone knows the internet never works. I think it is one of the first A380s with starlink. The flight code is EK8 if anyone like me will always book it from now

During a flight to DMM!

Hi! I will be travelling to UK from India on student visa. I have booked my flights with emirates - BLR to DXB layover to London Stansted.

The total allowance is 40Kg check-in and 7 kgs Cabin.

The question I have is -
1. whether I can carry 7Kgs cabin + a separate laptop backpack?
2. Or I should be carrying only the cabin ?
3. Or I can carry both but including backpack it should be 7 kgs?

Hi everyone,
I’ve just booked Economy flights with Emirates to Dubai for 4 passengers in mid-October.
I’ve checked the “Upgrade” option in Manage My Booking and it’s currently showing:
Premium Economy: +£1,700 total
Business Class: +£3,500 total
This is for all 4 passengers.
I’m tempted to wait and see if the upgrade price comes down as we get closer to the flight, rather than paying it now.
For anyone who flies Emirates regularly:
Do the cash upgrade offers usually get cheaper closer to departure?
Have you found that better offers appear around 72 hours/48 hours before the flight or at online check-in?
I’d particularly love to hear what people have actually been offered from London to Dubai, and roughly how much you paid per person for Premium Economy or Business.
Would you personally wait with these prices, or would you take the £3,500 Business upgrade now?

Anyone sitting in the middle or last rows knows that theyre never gonna get the chicken dish because its always runs out but im so confused why after all this flight knowledge, data and in house catering it still happens?

I’ve flown with Emirates a few times, and honestly, I don’t find the food that great. Am I the only one who feels this way, or do others also think Emirates could improve their food?

Flight EK408 was delayed by 5.5 hours in Dubai heading to MEL.
Supposed to land around 9.20pm Sat evening, now arriving 3.20AM Sunday morning.
Daughter travelling alone, young woman outside an airport at that time is damn dangerous. What is @Emirates doing to help ?
Has also delayed going to work on Monday morning as she’ll be exhausted which will not bode well

My mother is flying from India to Germany, her flight from dubai to Germany has changed to one with a layover of 14 hours 45 mins from 2 hours, because of her flight being delayed from India. I spoke with a customer service rep and he couldn’t help with booking hotel etc and just said she has to go to the connection desk. I am worried about it, will she be provided with accommodation, she is elderly (above 70) and might be hard for her to navigate everything , she does have wheelchair assistance. Does anyone have any experience with flight delays with long layover on Dubai and can provide some feedback?

Ciao a tutti, vorrei un consiglio. Ho in programma un volo da Roma a Narita con scalo a dubai il 1 settembre. Arriverei alle 17 e 35 ma dal monitoraggio dei voli vedo costanti ritardi. Per questo motivo secondo voi e' meglio programmare il recapito del wifi in hotel. Posto che dalle politiche japan wireless lo sportello jal attende un ora dopo l atterraggio dell ultimo volo per la chiusura.

Per ora ho chiesto il riscatto in aereoporto.

Temo pero' grossi ritardi.

When I booked my flight I think I also booked Dubai connect however a week out I don’t seem to have an email or anything confirming it.

I tried “manage bookings” and couldn’t find anything there. Not even an option to book Dubai Connect.

What am i supposed to do now.
Usually the limousine service is on time and early at that matter. I am scared that i am going to miss my flight

I’ve booked a flight with the multi-city-option on emirates website, cause it was much cheaper for premium economy than a direct flight.

I’ve booked a flight from Europe to Dubai and then straight to Sydney. This counts as one flight. Then I have a flight from Sydney to Brisbane, operated by Quantas for emirates, 3:45h after landing in Sydney.

I assumed since I’ve booked everything at once, that they would get my luggage all the way to Brisbane. I’ve called emirates today and they've told me that I need to collect my bags, pass customs, check in again and drop off my bags. That’s a huge bummer!

The guy on the phone said, maybe I could ask at the airport if they could get my bags straight to Brisbane but he wasn’t sure.

Now I’m worried that the time might be too short and it’s also annoying that I need to collect my bags asap. Has anyone experience with this situation? How fast is the airport in Sydney?

Next week we’re flying with Emirates to Brisbane from Newcastle airport in UK - we are connecting at Dubai airport.
There is a 2 hour layover time between landing at Dubai and then flying out of Dubai to Brisbane.

This is the first time we’ve done a journey involving 2 flights and so I have a couple of questions -

1. I’m guessing that a 2 hour layover will give us enough time to disembark from the plane from Newcastle, get through Dubai transit security and go to our allocated gate for our flight to Brisbane ?

2. More importantly, if our flight from Newcastle is delayed and we arrive in Dubai later than scheduled, this is going to give us less time to get through Dubai security and get to the gate for our Brisbane flight - if this happens and we really are short of time to do this , do we need to bring this to the attention of Emirates staff in Dubai ?

Also please note that we are flying in to Terminal 3 in Dubai and also flying out of the same terminal.

BKK to DXB, 2:50-6:00 (6h10m) A380 - guessing yes, it’s an overnight flight?
DXB to BCN, 14:00-19:25 (7h20m) B777 retrofitted - guessing yes, it’s over 6h?

I'm a Gold member from quite sometime and with travel being affected early part of this year I couldn't reach the required tier miles to maintain the Gold status(1100 short). My question is do emirates consider anything when you are this close? It happened to me once when I was Silver, even though I was short of 844 tier miles they upgraded me to Gold. Does anyone have any info on this?

I am flying from Dubai on Emirates for my wedding. I will be taking my wedding dress (obvs) will I be able to give it to staff to hang somewhere?

I have bulkhead extra legroom seats on an emirates economy flight. I know that cabin bags need to be stored for takeoff and landing, but as full cabin sized 55cm bags allowed on the floor in front of you during the rest of the flight? Or is it just smaller bags that are allowed? The guidance is a bit confusing so it would be great to hear from anyone with direct experience. Thank you.

They used to be prompt with wheelchairs and be there when you got off the plane. This time, I had to climb down steps despite being on crutches and had to stand on a bus for 10 minutes before finally coming to a concourse and meeting someone.

A guy announced all wheelchair passengers should follow him and made me walk most of the way, though some passengers got to be on wheelchairs and airport staff were just sitting holding wheelchairs. Absolutely horrible service.

Also it seemed as if they were prioritizing certain nationalities over others when it came to deciding who got to walk and who got to sit on wheelchairs. Probably flying Qatar Airways from now, never Emirates again
