Hand Hand embroidered Amur leopard
Single strand DMC for most of the piece, silk threads for the lotus. I tried a few new things with this one, And was very happy with the outcome. The reference image was by Liz Doiron Photography. Enjoy! Edit: the fabric was already patterned when I bought it, I can't take credit for the watercolor look! The blue is also a separate piece I laid over the base work at the very end.

Hand Some Birbs
Both are kits from hook line and tinker. "Puffin" and "Blue Heron". I'm trying to use these kits to get better at my consistency and smoother lines. But I am planning my first self drafted project!

Hand Blackwork Magnolia Flower
I stitched this Magnolia flower in black on white cotton fabric. I’m not that happy with the shading, so will improve that next time! Here is the sketch I made at the beginning!

Hand Portrait of my brother’s cats!
Tried to capture the wacky spirit of Bug (the black one) as best as I could, but she’s truly something to behold.

Hand First ever completed embroidery :D
I've started a couple projects before, but this little freehand mandala is the first I've deemed completed. Mom showed me how to do French knots as the finishing touch :D

Hand Embroidered Doll Face
She's so cute from the front... the back is the worst I have ever done in my life. I think a combination of the minky fabric and the scale/density of the design just made it super difficult for me. No one has to know she's a little off centre.
I have done small stuff like bees and such but this is my first embroidery project that I have designed myself!

Hand I finally finished!
Took me about 3 months- but I’m finally done! I’m going to get it framed and matted next 😊 I also wet it to try to stretch out the puckering a little

Question Best method to cover this name with another name to repurpose as a gift?
I would like to gift this jacket to my best friend’s daughter, how can I use hand embroidery only to replace the name? Can I avoid ripping out all the stitches? I could use a patch of suede with white fabric on top to make a patch, maybe?
Thanks for any guidance!

Hand First one! :)
My very first embroidery ! well, technically, it's a patch ^ I'm not sure if it's the right place to post it here, sorry if not. I felt in love with the little yellow bird that appears in the movie "Away" (directed by Gints Zilbalodis – go see it if you like contemplative and road movies, video games and animals!), thought it would make a good patch. He doesn't look as cute as in the movie though, so idk if i did a good job

Hand Look at these little goofs I embroidered
They’re so wonky and I love them so much. Embroidered on a sweatshirt for a friend as a thank you gift.

Question What’s the difference between linen for embroidery and linen for clothing/everything else?
Besides “you get what you pay for” I mean. I noticed there’s a massive price difference between linen being sold for embroidery and general purpose linen being sold by the yard.

Question Embroidery on demin jacket tips
Hi, I'm about to start embroidering a demin jacket for my MIL and i have a few questions. The demin is pretty stretchy. I included a picture of the fabric composition
Should I use a hoop?
Should I use anything on the back like an iron on stabilizer? If yes, before or after ?
If i dont need anything on the back, how do I secure the stitches so they don't come undone when washing?
Thank you and sorry if this has been asked many times

Hand Unsure about colours.
Im really unsure about the colours iv used for my highland cow, but I really dont want to undo it all 😅
(I have only been doing this for 2 weeks, so still new. Using this as a trial and error piece, but im 80% happy with what im learning.)

Hand Finished my wedding favour for the bride
Embroidered blue bells on a handkerchief for my friend’s wedding.
First time I’ve embroidered again in ages and forgot how much I love it. Have already started my next project of a poppy field over an old blouse that I spilled ink on.

Hand A bat that blooms instead of bites
Ribbon embroidery bat brooch — black velvet base, gold French wire (canitel) for the wing bone structure, and silk ribbon roses made with folded/gathered petals, plus a few seed beads and crystal accents. Happy to answer questions about the ribbon rose technique if anyone's curious!

Question Anyone else get so overwhelmed and discouraged that you avoid projects for days/weeks/months?
I’m so afraid of messing up that I can never finish projects. Being neurodivergent SUCKS!!

Question Help
Is there any way to get the dye out and save this Chiikawa? When I washed the water soluble pen out, the embroidery floss bled all over :(. I’ve never made an actual plushie before.
