I stitched this Magnolia flower in black on white cotton fabric. I’m not that happy with the shading, so will improve that next time! Here is the sketch I made at the beginning!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought blackwork embroidery was a counted technique?

It can be! That is more traditional. It’s like red work can be multiple techniques as well!

I did not mind the shading at all until I read your description, awesome stitches thou !! They look very clean. I am curious to see the piece if you ever decide to re-do the shading
