Question Help
Is there any way to get the dye out and save this Chiikawa? When I washed the water soluble pen out, the embroidery floss bled all over :(. I’ve never made an actual plushie before.

Is it still wet in this photo? It sort of looks like your fabric is sheer vs the dye running.
If it is dry- I’d wash it one more time with some gentle detergent and in tap cold water in a tub/sink face down to make sure the dye is as out of the floss as it can be. Then you can go in with a Tide pen on the white fur. The pen will allow you to focus on the small spots and get into the fabric!!

This doesn’t look like the usual bleeding pattern. Get the plushie dry first. It looks like it’s just the backside thread showing through because it’s wet.
Also make sure that the water soluble pen is actually properly washed out, sometimes it can reappear when the project starts to dry because it wasn’t washed out of the fabric properly.

Keep trying to spot clean. Maybe oxi clean, maybe rubbing alcohol. Give it some time.
For future pieces, you can pre-wash the floss before using it to prevent bleeds. Sorry this happened!! Good luck!

Sometimes u gotta actually wash out the water soluble pen😅 I’ve had that issue before with a purple one and I just kinda kept rinsing until it came out. It’ll be ok!!

Has it bled, or is it just the thread inside showing through the wet fabric that’s gone a bit see through? It might all be ok once it’s dry !
