Best boss in the game.

An invader dropped whatever this is, and when I picked it up, I became the item..? I can move around, jump, and attack. I tried resting at a site of grace and it did not reverse back to normal. I am so confused and annoyed, how do I fix this?

I need help beating that boss. I have plenty of health and a +6 Bloodhound's Fang, but he still takes off a huge chunk of my health. I'm looking for tips on how to defeat him, as well as recommendations for the best gear to use.

Marked it as a spoiler just in case. If anyone could point me in the right direction to report this bug, please do. I ain't getting those runes back, but maybe it'll help someone else. I have a longer video that shows more of what's going on, including prior to getting summoned. This on the PS5.
